Really? You seriously think the world wasn’t better shape during World War I, World War II, Korean War and the Viet Vietnam war era before I was born with safer than it was under Trump or now? False equivalency. The world was mostly at peace under trouble then it is under Biden Because Biden’s weakness.

I guess my comment was an airplane joke… went right over your head.

Again, the subject title is “The world was safer under Donald Trump” not what China would or would not do. So tell me, is it of your opinion that the world was safer under Donald Trump than it is now under Joe Biden?

Yes, Rac, the world was safer under Trump than under Biden.

But the world was also safer before you were born. Does that make YOU responsible for today’s problems?

And don’t try to now say that you weren’t implying Biden is at fault.

I just clicked through one of those click-bait websites of the 51 richest people in the world. Trump was not on the list. That must hurt!!!

Every time I hear "adultery" I am reminded of this cartoon in Playboy Magazine...

The caption says, "Adultery? My Gawd, Milicent... surely you don't think this young thing is an adult!?"

Now, now... you know that Rac is correct... after all, C***D can't talk!!!

Rac ALWAYS takes statements verbatim because he does not understand the wider meaning of a statement.

It is important to not take things like nudity so seriously. Is the puritanical god nude or does he have a fig leaf?

Q — if Eve wore a fig leaf, what did Adam wear?
A — a hole through it.

I looked at 53, 52, 51 and jumped to the first. All the same so, boring, meaningless since there is no progress in the quality. As to the comment on them? Equally, boring, no one seems to care about offering advice on how to improve.

Were you aware that Jim’s images are from the 1970s, so no chance to “improve” technique?

He began by offering these shots as nostalgia, and then tried experimenting with colorization. IMHO he HAS been improving. And the fact that he offers different images as he goes is refreshing.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion that the images are boring. And I am entitled to my opinion that your criticism is a bit harsh.

Hey, Rac, no one is arguing that higher tariffs on imports and higher taxes on corporations affect the consumer in opposite directions. BOTH actions can result in higher costs for consumers.

The issue is the magnitude or breadth of impact.

It’s like the joke asking what the difference is between a drinking establishment and an elephant’s fart… the first is a bar-room and the second is a BARRROOOOMMM!

Well considering that Trump was a better President than Biden has been for far in respect to their policies and how they handled the economy. I would say Trump should rank much higher than Biden who should be b
Near the bottom of the list. Personally wise would be a different story.

Trump only has one policy, and that is duping his followers into believing how great he is. Trump himself knows he is a loser, so he creates a false persona that he foists on his cult followers. And because the ploy works he continues it voraciously. All that matters is that his sheeple THINK that he is a great leader and that he cares dearly about them and America. Trump cares ONLY ABOUT HIMSELF and his IMAGE.

Y'all can argue whether Trump really is at the bottom of the pile or somewhere higher depending on who does the analyses. But I would bet that not a single reputable analysis would put him outside of the bottom 10.

To ensure the people were armed and could resist the government if it became a tyranny.
To further that goal all abled bodied men were part of the unorganized m*****a. States, counties, cities, towns and other groups formed organized m*****a units. And those included, infantry, cavalry and artillery units. Even naval m*****a along the seacoasts and on the Great Lakes. Each m*****a designed their own uniforms. Those m*****as either supplied their own weapons or the local government or some rich m*****a members bought them. Yes, even the artillery guns were privately owned.

That is in part why the Civil War got off to such a fast start with all the various m*****as* joining either the Union or Confederate Armies as volunteer troops. The Union army also had units of "Regulars". All those uniforms caused a lot of "friendly fire" incidents in the early battles. Later in the case of the union forces the Regulars wore all dark blue, volunteers wore dark blue over light blue and some special units wore green. Though some units held on to their own uniforms as long as they could.

*Though many of them were little more than social clubs who only practiced marching and drilling. As combat troops, they were mostly a confused, armed mob. Western troops of the Union and many Confederate troops were good individual fighters due to hunting etc. but not much good in coordinated fighting until they learned the hard way. Then add in that the officers only knew the Napolianic and earlier style of formation fighting and mostly kept it up until the end was largely responsible for the awful casualty rates. 2% of the total population of both sides died = 620,000 of just over 31million population on both sides, including s***es.

Trump, of course! Extradite him to Canada and we will put him away where he belongs in a jiffy!

But seriously, I don’t follow Canadian politics much because it is boring. All I know is “anyone but Poilievre” is analogous to “anyone but Trump.”

Australia’s former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says that former US President Donald Trump was like a 12-year-old boy in awe of his hero whenever he met Russia’s Vladamir Putin.

Speaking on Australian broadcaster ABC’s Q+A, Mr Turnbull said that Mr Trump’s possible return to the White House posed a “terrifying” threat to democracy, because of his embrace of autocratic leaders.

"He is attracted to dictators and tyrants like [North Korean leader] Kim Jong Un and [Chinese President] Xi Jinping and he threatened to undermine or pull out of America’s longest standing alliances,” Mr Turnbull said, referring to Mr Trump’s recent threat to pull out of NATO.

The former prime minister, who was in office when Donald Trump first took office in 2017, said he had not bowed to Mr Trump’s pressures to “suck up” to him, as other leaders had.

During their overlap as leaders of their respective countries, Mr Turnbull said he had seen Mr Trump with Russia’s President a few times.

"When you see Trump with Putin, as I have on a few occasions, he’s like the 12-year-old boy who goes to high school and meets the captain of the football team. My hero!” Mr Turnbull said, calling the reverence shown “creepy”.

"What if Donald Trump forces Ukraine to surrender to Putin? What if Donald Trump pulls out of NATO? Donald Trump has threatened to pull out of NATO,” Mr Turnbull continued.

"Donald Trump stood up in front of an audience and he said to an unnamed European leader, if you don’t spend more money on defence I’m going to encourage Putin to have a go at you. That’s more or less what he said.”

Mr Turnbull said Australia would have to get used to the idea that the United States was no longer aligned in its values as it was a few decades ago.

“The scary thing is that for countries like Australia and many European countries, we may find ourselves not dealing just with two autocracies in Russia and China, but what is Trump’s America going to look like?” Mr Turnbull said. “This is a guy leading a party that is no longer committed to democracy as we understand it.”

Yet another excellently stated perspective from someone who is in a position to know firsthand the perilous situation the world is in. Alas, it will not sway the MAGA cult members.
