Did you turn off HDR as I suggested before you sent the first camera back?

I believe the fish is a Bluegill.

I actually love the background, it looks like they're on a stage with curtains. All of the colors are perfect with the figurine.

I like the effect, whatever it's called. It looks like a painting. Not for everyone of course, but the instagram crowd would probably side with me!

Are you shooting in RAW with ADL turned on? If so, turn off ADL immediately, it underexposes by 1/3 to 2/3 stops, which is great in the processed jpg. and the histogram on the camera, however the processing isn't carried over to the NEF file when using Lightroom or any other PP other than Nikon software. Every shot will be underexposed. I, too, have the D750 and had the same problem at first. There is nothing wrong with the camera. Here is a link to an explanation in more detail.

I thought this was a good deal at $1200, but I'm going down to $1150. Last chance!

[quote=quixdraw]Therefore making the pursuit endlessly interesting or incredibly frustrating...

And really expensive!

Saw this today, a shot of a Kingfisher diving that took the photographer six years to get just right.

Nice job. I was there in July. We ended up going too late in the day as most everything was closed. Leaving for Durham today to visit with my daughter.

Thank you, and enjoy your stay in NC, winter temperatures are finally here!

Very nice, and very interesting. I don't know how I missed it, but I will definitely find it next time I'm there. Thanks for sharing!

Well, just one more ....... did you happen to get a shot of the bronze plaque imbedded in the middle of the square the commemorates the first public 4th of July Celebration in the U.S. at Salem, NC? I'd really like to see a good photo of that one. I shot it years ago but all I have left is a 640 x 480 .jpg of the thing.

I didn't even see that, I'll have to look for that next time I'm back and get a shot of it.
