That’s because there is only one copy of any given photo, regardless of how many folders it’s in.

Forgive me but I do not follow ….by editing and cropping and duplicating I now have 4 different looking photos scattered between 3 folders, all with the same name. Too cumbersome a procedure however. I want to do as I did in Windows and merely have these edited photos all together in one album. They each self generated the same name but with a different modifier number added to each version. iOS does not do this but my question is can it be done easily and efficiently? Or does Apple just prevent me from doing this?

I have been wondering the same thing! I also want to edit a photo but keep the the original but my IPad always modifies every copy of the photo in all folders?

That is great news for a lot of folks. The T8i is a nice camera and great for the buck.

Yes I think exactly the same! I love everything about the T8i too. It really suits my needs and so light easy to carry and handhold. lol… I don’t have that many years left to go to a whole new system that with the new lenses is a ton of money to me…I am happy with old school and still have a lot to learn using it. Thanks!

Great to hear! When I had a T3i, I decided to order a second one while the first was still doing great, just because I loved it so much. Then I would take both out with me, mostly driving around, with 18-130 mm (?) lens on one body and 70-200 on the other. Them were the days

That would be nice even right now! Thank you for helping.

I talked to a Canon tech and was told my Rebel T8i is repairable until 2030 and right now it is not scheduled to be discontinued! Just supply problems after the holiday season… made me feel better by a lot.

Good news that you can get your camera repaired. I have been lucky and only done cosmetic damage to most of my recent cameras. My rain storm volunteer body may only survive a few more soakings, but a replacement is already in house.
Since I no longer shoot the latest gear (I use DSLRs), I have been very happy buying from the refurb market at a portion of the original list price. Only thing missing has been the packaging.

I bought my first used lens and it was/ is perfect! So I will be looking at all the future bargains too. Although I want one more new camera body so thinking I will get a new Canon 90D very soon.

Curious that Canon Repair lists the T7i, but not the T8i. Call the number below to double-check:

"You may wish to consider the wide variety of product upgrades available only to Canon customers at a discounted rate. Simply call us toll free at 866-443-8002. This offer is subject to availability of products in the Canon Upgrade Program, and any associated terms and conditions, at the time any offer is accepted. In case you change your mind about a camera upgrade, B&H does have a gray market new Rebel T81 + two in the Used Dept.

I believe Canon discontinued all of their DSLR but the T8i is a relatively new model I think they should still service it. I think in general they would continue service the camera for 10 years after dicontinuation.

Boy I sure hope so! I am working out my password and will soon be able to talk to Canon Service directly. thanks for the Hope!
