I can offer this information, as I had a Synology NAS system that I used to access files remotely, as well as provide redundant back up for my Desktop and laptop. I Felt everything was great untill the Camp Fire burned everything to a crisp in Northern California. I lost virtually everything, Every File, Every Picture, the works. Moral of the story, a NAS system is GREAT, but its not a substitute for an offsite back up for all your files. Just saying

It's an "art car" for an annual Art Car parade in Houston. Not my type, though.

Some may call it Art.... Certainly not me. I guess art is an extremely subjective thing.

Actually, it's kind of fun doing them both ways.

Its my sincere hope you continue "doing it both ways" (As long as that means Color and B&W)

Hi, Everyone, This is the last of the series, and I'd like to hear your comments about "color vs B&W." Any hard and fast rules, or does it "just depends on..."?

Voss,

As I've stated before, knowing I'm in the minority when it comes to "street" images, I still nearly always prefer the color versions. Certainly there are some images that do relate better in B&W, but in my opinion they are few and far between. 9 times out of 10 it's color for me.

But either way they are presented, I always enjoy your vision of "street images"

In street photography, b&w wins 99% of the time for me, as it does here.

Nice shot, by the way, with everyone in step, even in different directions.

Jaymatt,

I Know I'm in the minority, and I'm not trying to start a B&W Vs Color war, but for me the Color version is 100% more interesting. To each their own I guess.

Voss,

I Like the fact that you've taken the effort to post both the Color & B&W images. I'm certain I'm in the minority here, but I almost always prefer the color image. Keep up the good work.

I think I saw the word "California", both locomotive and location - sure you aren't paying some?

Oh I'm sure I am somehow. Everything in Cali has some hidden funding or agenda. Probably diverted road repair funds, perhaps gasoline will be going up again lol

Interesting to watch 10 guys changing a traction motor out with a bad wheel bearing. I'd hate to foot the bill for that job.

I like them all but really like the Snow Geese in flight!

Really? Funny how people like different things, that's the least favorite of my shots. I initially went to see if I could get some eagles, but the pheasant was a welcome surprise to me, so that's probably my favorite, followed by the Eagle, then lastly the Snow Geese. But I appreciate you stopping by and commenting, Thank you.

Thank You Mike. It was a nice day considering all the rain and cold weather we've had recently.
