Tamron 24-70 on Canon 5DSR
There are some trees I consider old friends and every year if I pay attention they reward me with an illustration of this worlds beauty.
Thank you, The camera I have been looking at is selling for 1500 to 1700 used from KEH and for 1299 new from Red Tag. The difference in price won't kill me but I like starting out with o actuations vs 75000 on one and 140000 on the other. If this was a Nikon I would not think of it, but Canon will fix it either way.
I know they sell grey market, but with Canon servicing them the same as used why would you buy used for more instead of a grey market new?
I saw several used 24-105 lens on several major resalers for $385. This is an L lens that is a better quality build. The focus range is narrower and it is the kit lens for more expensive cameras.
Thats what my feeling was. Thank you.
A call to Canon customer service told me they would fix any canon camera. They will not honor the warranty. But as the worker pointed out if you buy used you also get no warranty. I see a grey market 5Ds for 5 hundred $s less than used is being sold for.. What else can go bad that can't be fixed? I have bought several used camera s and lens and only one bad experience.
