No, I built my own cp/m system back in the early 80's. I used a Z180 processor and wirewrapped a circuit together that contained 64K of memory along with a serial interface and HD controller. I used a Wyse-50 terminal for the interface and had a pair of Shugart 8" floppies along with a 20 meg 5 1/4" HD that set me back over $400 at the time. Once I got the system up and running I used a program called Wordstar for word processing and a program called Dbase for creating databases.

Actually a face cord is 1/3 of a cord, or a stack 4' by 8' by 16". Out by me in the SW Chicago suburbs they are trying to get $150-200 for a face cord! A few years ago I would balk at paying more than $75/face cord...

I live in a town where the Lincoln Highway and Rt 66 intersect, in Plainfield Illinois. I drive on the Lincoln Highway (rt 30 in these parts) every day when I leave our subdivision.

The place is called Lake Renwick Rookery, located in Plainfield Illinois. Last year a pair of Bald Eagles set up a nest in the area as well and are periodically seen on one of the lakes there. This area used to be a large stone quarry and was taken over by the county forest preserve back in the 80's.

I decided to go for a short hike a few days ago at a nearby rookery, and it was quite foggy out. While walking down one of the paths I came across this wild scene of a small island on the lake which was totally engulfed in fog.

That's nothing, I'm paying almost 9K/year in property taxes for a 2600 square foot house in Illinois!

I've taken risks many times to get "the right shot" and it caught up to me in January of 2015. While attempting to cross a small stream in order to get the right shot angle, my camera gear backpack shifted on me and I slipped on an icy embankment resulting in a compound fracture of my right leg (both tibia and fibula poking out of the skin just above the ankle). I was 4 miles from the car and luckily I was not hiking alone. It took the rescue crew over an hour to locate me and transport me out to the local hospital. Not a fun way to spend the rest of that Winter...

I stop by that place every trip I make to Galena and get some shots of the place, but they never come out as well as the shot you just posted ;-). In case anyone wants to visit this place, it is located on Blackjack Just South of Galena.
