Can't speak for your car but my car recognizes mp3's on a usb thumb drive. Your car audio must have software that recognizes thumb drives and mp3's. For my car, which is brand new, requires the thumb drive be formatted with DOS Fat32 and be 32GB or less.

I first tried it with a drive that I had formatted with NTFS and it didn't work. I reformatted it with FAT32 and it works fine.

I found the format and size info in my car's operating manual.

I formatted the Thumb Drive to fat32 and copied and pasted the music files I wanted from Windows Media from my Playlists to the thumbdrive. I then tested it on my computer to see if the songs were there, and they played just fine. Then I put the thumbdrive into the usb port in the car and USB came up on the media screen. I touched that and then it came up with another screen that listed Artists, Albums, Songs, Genre, etc. However, it gave me the message that no songs were on the drive. The USB drive in my car is white which I found out is 1.0 and the Thumbdrive is black which is 2.0. I don't know if that is the problem or not? Most of the music on Windows Media was download through 4K Youtube to mp3 program and it automatically sends the music to Windows Media. I've made CDs with these same songs that I'm trying to play through the usb and they've worked well on the CDs. I don't understand where I'm messing up here?

Thank you for your input and the fact that I have to format it to fat32. I'd just like to listen to more songs rather than the same 22 or so repeating if I don't change CDs.

Although I'm pretty capable on a computer, the dash board on my 2018 RAV4 LE pretty much defeats me. They tried to get me to upgrade from their basic model, but why pay for MORE stuff that you don't understand was my reasoning. Anyway, it does have a CD drive that I've made many CDs for and that's great, however, I noticed that way under the radio, close to the console, there is a USB port and I was wondering if I put music on a thumb drive and plugged it into the USB port would the radio recognize it and play the music? Thanks...

Thanks so much for looking!

Apparently, not everyone who lives in the United States believes in the "land of the free", especially the First Amendment. You have my empathy, and prayers that this situation will change.

I have the M510 which works fine, but if you go into Settings on your computer and then got to Devices and then Mouse, then click on Mouse on the Left column, it will bring up custom settings for your Mouse where you can adjust how many lines it scrolls, cursor size, and other custom options for the various buttons. Don't give up yet until you try those settings. ;-)

Recently my son sent a youtube about Henry Cavill's newest movie which will be a remake of The Highlander. As I went through the still shots of Cavill as The Highlander, I began to question them as authentic as there was something missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on and I asked the question to myself, 'Are these AI?' Then I scrolled down to the comments and sure enough, someone had put this presentation together with AI. What was missing was Cavill's personality. I know that sounds weird, but apparently, AI can't duplicate personality. The pics looked like Cavill yet to anyone who is a big fan, I think they'd see the same thing I saw that was missing.

Firefox seems to be updating quite frequently lately and of course Norton security updates quite often.

When you see the pictures on Sony’s program can you highlight all of them then just copy them? Control C buttons. Then you should be able to paste them where ever you want…no?

I've tried doing both of those suggestions and when I click to bring up 'copy', it isn't a choice on the window that comes up. I've tried highlighting and they won't highlight and the program won't reduce them to just a List, they all have thumbnail file pics. At least I've gotten to the point where the program brings them up instead of the pesky SanDisk Secure Access .pdf. I'm sure there is answer out there, its just a matter of persistence. Thank you for your interest.

I don't know how that could have happened as its the same card I've had for about 4 years. I did get in touch with Sony and they suggested that I put their program that comes with the camera on my computer, Play Memories, however, I who save EVERYTHING, can't find the box the camera came in where I believe there was a CD with that program on it. The tech I texted with sent me a link to the Play Memories and I can get my files open on that, but there doesn't seem to be an option for copying the files and sending them elsewhere on my computer. I know I had it on my old computer, but never thought to put it on this new one as I hadn't had any problem accessing photo files until today. Anyway, I really really appreciate your interest and help as your suggestions pushed me in the right direction.

Oh, yes. I always turn the camera off when I pull the disk. How do you delete it and where do I have to go in my computer to do that? I've never run across any programs from San Disk before. Thanks for you persistence. ;-)

No, I wouldn't even know how to do that. A month ago I was able to bring up all the pictures on the disk and transfer the newest ones to my computer and I did it through the dongle instead of plugging the USB cable into the camera. I'm at loss as to understand why San Disk wants me to download a program that may not even be compatible with Windows 10 as it doesn't mention more than Windows 8 on the requirements. Thanks for your response.

For years I've either plugged in my Sony via USB cable or have physically removed the SanDisk & used a dongle to download pictures to my computer. Today I removed the SanDisk, plugged it into the dongle & the dongle to my computer via USB and when I clicked on the drive that I thought it was in, it came up with a .pdf file for instructions for SanDisk Secure Access - Quick Start Guide. I really didn't understand what I was supposed to do. I even put the disk back into the camera and tried to access my pictures files with the USB cable that came with the camera originally, and that came up with the same message. All I wanted was access to my picture files as I've done for years. Has anyone else run into this problem? Thanks for reading inquiry.

Why would you want to eliminate something that so very many other people enjoy and learn so much from? If photography is your whole world, that is troublesome. I've gotten answers to everything from computer issues to what is the best product to buy in a specific category. The Chit Chat is an invaluable resource for many people who do not want to join online social sites like Facebook, Instagram, etc. If it bothers you, ignore it, but don't spoil it for other members who enjoy having a place to ask questions or share a joke or something out of the ordinary of a newsy nature.

Sometimes I wonder just how many of the younger generation who have not served, know the meaning of Memorial Day and what they should be thankful for?
