Any help/comments much appreciated ... I have been away from photography and group for quite a while now... is good to be back even if slow.... and not even sure if I used auto or manual as I am flipping back and forth for the fist time.... I prefer manual but I have missed a few good shots as I have forgotten a lot!! (I hope the picture goes with the message )

I take it you are on auto focus? I would give a guess that the hawk is behind the foliage so that is why the hawk isn't in focus but then the foliage isn't either. Have you tried to manually focus?

Hi there.... Has been a while since I have been in our group! Was wondering if anyone could tell me why my shots are hazy?? My lens is a Canon EF 70-300mm IS USM ...... This may have been a bit of a reach for my lens as I was about 150 to 200 ft away from the Hawk..... ? Not sure if this is my problem....settings were 1/800 ... F8 .... 800 Any help would be much appreciated!! :?:

Wow, he looks a little scrarey in this shot! lol Very good shot, Nancy! You must've been right down on his level to get this! Well done!

Thanks so much Sailorsmom!!... I sure was close.. I am so enjoying the most odd shots ....Close up and personal or shots with attitude..... rather than the calender pics... Is funny, everyones fave is the Blue Jay I posted here.. and I like attitude shots that speak to me even more! I had best start taking shots of people because I have a grand baby on the way... my first.. but my heartstrings pull me to the wilderness... I have more pics away from the feeder up in the trees ..Hoping they turn out well..... wil know tomorrow.. Thanks for listening...Sorry for beeing so chatty Thanks for your comment!! :)
