I can’t believe the stupidity of my last question. I refuse to admit what was wrong. Thank you all anyway.

I admit it. I’ve been away from my camera, a Nikon D610, for a couple of years except for occasional beachscapes and some family snapshots. Today I wanted to takes shots of my14 year-old granddaughter’s work to send to a friend who is an established, educated, independent artist. These are pencil sketches and the grandfather (me) thinks they’re quite good. My friend has agreed to cast a critical eye on a halfdozen or so. Problem; I set the. Camera where I thought it should be, based on experience. I picked up the camera to take a test shot and I can’t see a thing thru the viewfinder. Total blackness. This is likely something simple, but I’m out of ideas. Can someone help? (The lens cover had been removed.)

LOL! Yes, she likes me, and feels comfortable with me. Here is the problem, I'm married, and she is a close friend of the family, including my wife. It is all above board.

Sometimes I think being above board is overrated.

That’s an awfully long time to be drinking. Should we call a treatment center?

HA! Haven't had a drink in almost 36 years.

There could have been more light on the model's face in the first shot. Otherwise I love them all. All I really need is a beautiful naked woman on an appealing beach and I'm set for the day.

I prefer this one over the other with the darker shadow. This lead shot gives more definition to her lovely back.

It seems I have seen this model and pose on this forum before. Either that, or she's such a friendly face, with a friendly smile, and a friendly-looking body, that seeing her before is just a welcome bit of deja vu.

What is in a word...It is just a word...What really counts here, in my opinion, is the image itself, and I find these images to be (as the song goes,) "loverly..." (Another word, lol.) And yes, it is a shame you weren't able to get some prints for her, so she could look back from today at how she was 40 years ago.
Very tastefully photographed.
As I said at the start, just a word. Tit or teat, or bassooms or bazzongers or boobs or bust or breasts or headlights, etc...these are ALL just words. Not a big deal.
Again, study the image itself, revel in the beauty of the image and not the verbiage!
There, I done said my piece or is that peace, whatever, yada yada...LOL.
Rich...
What is in a word...It is just a word...What reall... (show quote)

First, I love the photographs. Good model, nice light, and I love the beach.

Secondly, the nice thing about our wonderful language is its richness. We have ample words to describe the desirable and equally effective words to describe the coarse. "She has nice tits" is a coarse way to describe one aspect of a totally lovely body. It's a shame to offend a beautiful image with a coarse comment.
