Excellent Question! Sorry, but I would keep them all the EF-S lenses are lightweight. As I get younger camera and lens weight becomes an issue. When picking between the Tamron and Canon 24-105 I lean towards the Canon based on range and weight. Now I have more lenses than the ones I listed. I only showed the lenses that I have used in 2023 over 50 times, based on Lightroom's Metadata, e.g., Tamron 150-600mm I only used 25 times in 2023.

My understanding with the photography plan w 20mb you get 250 credits if you were a subscriber earlier than November 1, 2023. People who begin their subscriptions after that date will only be entitled to 100 credits per month.

That is my understanding too.

When our film was replaced by a 3mp digital image, did we dream of the regular sharpen or denoise, NO! and now the world of AI has rapidly improved and works magic. More amazing is the AI in which we verbally tell what image we want. Also, the vague gravel image can be consolidated by Google to form a real image!!

I will perhaps go thru one more year of update expenses for my Topaz AI programs. Eventually, my computer may perceive a difference, but in reality, my eye/mind/&display will not reproduce the improvement.

Indeed we live in interesting times!!!

I agree I don't truly see the difference.

I have both with one difference my 24-70 is a Tamron unit. For me when we take vacations, I like to use the 24-105 (focal length) also the 24-70 is a lot heavier than 24-105. I use 24-70 for home events, e.g., birthday parties, weddings, etc.

Sidebar: for vacations I will all ways include either 50mm, 85, or 100mm with 24-105.

I have an rtx 2070super GPU. The Nvidia driver update is not needed unless you are a gamer. The updates normally just add ray tracing and dlss capabilities to function in more games. I game in the winter sometimes. I usually bypass updating to the latest game ready driver until it is 3 months old. It HARDLY ever adds anything you need for photo editing.

Thanks, for that insight. I have the RTX 2080super GPU and I update my Nvidia card using the Studio version, which is supposed to be for Photography. I have rolled back to the May release of the Nvidia Studio Driver.

Yea, thanks. I guess the best bet would be to roll back to Nvidia's May driverrs.

I keep getting a processing error each time I try to bring a raw photo into Denoise. I'm running the latest driver for my Nvidia card which was released on June 22, i.e. GEFORCE GAME READY DRIVER - WHQL Driver Version: 471.11 - Release Date: Tue Jun 22, 2021. I have tried several times to use this program and keep getting the same error message.

I contacted Topaz Support and they told me the following:
Thanks for reaching out. I'm happy to help with some information.

The most recent driver from Nvidia has a bug. We have notified Nvidia and they advised that they've fixed the bug and the fix should be released on July 20th.
For now, the easiest solution is to revert back to the May Studio Ready driver for this graphics card on their website:
Nvidia Driver Update Page

On July 19, Nvidia release video driver 471.41. This did not correct the problem and I discovered that Topaz Sharpen AI had the same issue, while my Gigipixel AI, Adjust AI, Mask AI, and Studio worked with the July Nvidia driver 471.11 and 471.41.

I don't want to make this too long. I determined that by going into Denoise and Sharpen Preferences and telling the program to CPU, they work.

I emailed Topaz Support and ask, what is the downfall of using the CPU as opposed to using the video driver? Their response was, "We recommend using which every processing option works best for you. The CPU and GPU will both result in the same end results."  I found the response interesting because they said the same results at the end, but did not mention how long it would take you to get there.

I have bought/used Nik Collection since DXO purchased it and I have purchased the various updates. They have made some of the apps 4k compatible, however, I'm still waiting for the Output Sharpener to be updated to 4k compatible. I purchase this software from DXO (Nik, Nik2, and Nik3 to support further development of the applications. As for Nik4 to only update two apps - I'm not a money pit, plus when you go to install Nik4 it tells you it will overwrite existing applications. So installing the trail will overwrite what you all ready have and force you to buy the new ver. after 30 days?????
