Hopefully the 400TB is a typo. Not sure anyone lives long enough to even produce that much information let alone back it up.
I recently read the various methods and products used by members to back up their photos. It seems that there are so many ways and costs to achieve this task and was wondering for a relative 'newbee' where do I find unbiased advice and explanation on the subject. I only have approximately 150gb of photos to date and currently use a WD passport drive and some 2tb flash drives in my fumbling uneducated attempt to find a quick and easy method. It seems to take an age (2 hours plus) every time I do a back up. Am I doing something wrong ?
Just hoping to find an easy, fast, reliable method and explanation of how, what and why before I decide on a solution that suits my minimal requirement and pocket. Any pointers as to where I should turn would be very welcome. Thank you in advance.
P. S. I use a windows system laptop, have a Samsung android phone and Google photos if that is relevant.

I had a stroke 6 weeks ago that affected my left side. It will be a long time before I can use my Fuji. I am thinking about purchasing an iPhone 11 pro 256 gigabits. I can shoot with it using my right hand. Any thoughts are appreciated. Going through a tough time and taking pictures will help.
I'm sure you can set up SIRI to take pictures using voice commands. I'm using Bixby on my Samsung to "take photo".
Thanks everyone for the advice. Decided to go ahead from Canon website. Followed clear instructions to the letter and pleased to say everything went smoothly & easily much to my surprise. Camera now updated to latest firmware so whatever it is/was I know I am up to date. Another process learned to add to my limited knowledge. Pat myself on the back !!!
I have a Canon 6d mk 2 camera which has never had its firmware updated. Seems to be working fine to me.I'm not sure how to do it or even if it is necessary. How or where can I find out if I need to update the firmware ? Does the Canon site detail these updates and method of carrying out this task? Or is it a case of "If it ain't broke don't fix it"?
My last posting was querying the sharpness of the above lens and maybe having to micro adjust to get it sharper. Having tried adjusting without success I have found that the culprit was the circular polarising filter. With it very unsharp images. Without it very sharp images. Just goes to show what a poor quality filter can do to your images.
Now seeing how much you can pay for these filters, is it worth paying a high price or just address the situation in post processing? After all you don't know until you have purchased one, if it is going to be of high enough quality or just going to waste the money you have spent on a quality lens.
Same thing applies, I suppose when it comes to ND filters as well. What brands would you recommend without breaking the bank?
Would prefer to have camera brand on heading of posting if relevant as only really interested in brand that I have. If we knew the camera brand ,Canon, Nikon etc, etc, we wouldn't have to open up all the irrelevant posts.
Here, here. I've often thought that about many replies. They don't answer the question but ask more. Even when a problem has occurred they answer with, " I've never had a problem with that". Doesn't really help the person with the problem.
Some very useful suggestions, thank you. Will definitely try to resolve this set back to find a solution to my problem. Manual focus to check against auto focus sounds a way to go. Was so disappointed after paying out for what is supposed to be a far superior system and currently appears to be giving an inferior result.
I have Canon 6d mk2 camera with the above lens but haven't been happy with results regarding focus sharpness. I upgraded from a 550d apsc body. Tried the L lens on old body and still not good. Put on my old Efs 55-250is lens on 550d and results so much sharper. I know I can micro adjust this L lens on the 6d mk2 body but stuck with results on the 550d body. Very disappointed with the results of what is supposed to be a quality lens. What else can I do? If I had just invested in so called superior glass for my old body as so many people suggest, then I would be one very unhappy camper!!!
Don't forget that you Americans get far more offers with low prices and deals than most other countries do. We have to pay much higher prices or order online and pay the import duties for our camera gear.
Managed to buy the DVD. Love it and an inspiration to anyone who loves photography.
Luckily did not purchase Canon 6d mk 2. I like the new features but not happy to pay all that extra money for inferior pictures. Now have to decide which full frame to go for,
Thanks for that but nobody has yet answered the question.
Whatever it is, it creates a lower quality picture than the less expensive 6D or Nikon D750. My question was, can Canon correct/improve this backward step with firmware? Apart from the physical improvements on the 6D mk2 surely we are looking for improvements in the final product, not a lower quality costing more money. I was hoping that it could be rectified by Canon.
