Thank you, kvanhook, for sharing. You do well on your old sax. Thanks for reminding us all of the real significance. "For God so LOVED, that He GAVE..." What a love... what a Savior! Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward US, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for US. Yes, we were there!
Beautiful shots, water falls... from a fellow Green Bay-er!

He provides beauty beyond our comprehension. Merry Christmas to all.
Amen! And every photographer has the privilege of "recording" some of the beauty of His creation. Psalm 19:1 "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork." Yet all the beauty of his creation is but a glimpse of the beauty and greatness of the Creator Himself. JESUS is the Reason for the Season... Emmanuel, God with us. God, our Creator, came in in flesh to bring us salvation. Even in 2020, with its chaos and confusion, He is still the Prince of Peace. What a love... what a Savior. Merry Christmas and God's blessings to you all.
His creation is beautiful... He, as Creator, exceeds it all...
Good equipment in the hands of a good photographer, whose pics have been a blessing to many of us on UHH. Glad to see you blessed...we rejoice with you.

Tomorrow I have a shoot indoors with 25 clients. Some might be sensitive to flash, so I'm hoping I can avoid using it. I plan to take a white backdrop, a blue one and a black. I use a high-end point and shoot. Since indoors, do I crank up my ISO and lower my aperture? If so, what numbers do you recommend? I heard iSO 800 is pretty good but in order to minimize the noise, my aperture should be on the lower end. I usually shoot in Program mode, which I know it's auto's twin, but I'm use to that mode.

Hi Chaxl,
I mainly use my EOS 80D for shooting, but also have an SX50. Great little camera, especially for zooming long range, etc.
If you have an external flash unit that will work with your SX50 (my Canon 430 does), you may wish to use it on the camera and try bounce flash. Experiment a little with subjects to get the best bounce angle. If you have good window light, that wouldn't be needed, but if not, bounce flash can help to give you sufficient light to keep your ISO lower.
Hope that helps. God bless you in your photo shoot.
Thanks CHG CANON for the tremendous pictures and coverage of the Andersonville prison. My wife and I visted this some years back and were deeply impressed by it's story.
I copied your account of Providence Spring: "The sudden appearance of the spring at the western wall of the stockade in August 1864 was a treasured memory, and life-saver, of many Union survivors of the prison. By the 1880s, visiting the site of the spring was an important Memorial Day tradition."
The reason it was named "Providence Spring" was because the water suddenly sprung up out of the ground in direct answer to a group of soldier prisoners crying out to God in sincere, earnest prayer, as their fellow soldiers were dying around them from lack of water. It was providentially supplied, a miracle that saved many lives.

Couldn't resist posting this, my newest addition, a Spotmatic with a 1:1.4/50.
Lots of memories and lots of fun with that camera! Also had (still have them both) a Ricoh Singlex, which took the same lenses. Much enjoyment and learning with those.
However, last night I shot around 223 pics at a Girl Scout Awards event with my 80D and 24-105mm L lens. It sure is nice not to have to change film every little bit and then later process it. With 9 grandkids, I have had a number of senior pics to take, as well some of their friends, that couldn't afford professional. I'm not in photography for professional, monetary means, so one of the questions I've enjoyed hearing from my grandkids friends has been: "How much will it cost me for the senior pics?"...to which I enjoy responding: "You just pay for all the film I use." Some get it, and some don't
. Sure appreciate digital!
One picture we UHH'ers all need to see in high resolution...amazing love...amazing grace...what a Savior!
I saw 9 also...great shot!
Instead of the old adage, "Light As A Feather"...it might be "A Lighted Feather"...or, "A Feather Alite".
Nice pic!
Also have the Canon 80D. I use to use a Canon 18-200mm, but have now gone to the Tamron 18-400mm. Same wide angle, but twice the telephoto. Am very pleased with it...and not too heavy.
