Hi, does anyone have an old canon that they may want to part with. I am looking for a high school student wanting to learn photography. On old dslr laying around collecting dust? Just name your price and we can maybe work something out. Thank you

I have a Canon Rebel T3 with a 18-55mm II lens that is in near mint condition, can let it go for $125.

Okay, I would never have guessed that. I stand corrected.😁 Nice capture.

Thanks, we were watching the interaction between the parents and this make baby. The parents were trying to get it to come to the feeder and eat, but he just refused. It was the big male sitting off to the side. He looked like he was tired of feeding the baby but the mother just kept working with him. Very interesting to watch this.

Actually the male is the baby, we watched him since he was in the nest. The 'daddy' was on the fence close by.

Hard to tell which is the parent and which is the baby.

Beautiful bird. How do you like that lens?

I'm growing on it. It is different than the EF telephoto lenses I have. First, it's a fixed aperture @ f11 and that took some different planning on how to set up the camera for optimum use. Second, it has a pull out to use feature. The 'storage' mode you pull it into itself, 'operational' more you pull it out and lock it in place. Quite different, but I see the theory behind it, kept the cost down on both 'features'. It also has an 82mm filter size that does not really need to be that big since there is quite a large amount of unused space around the front element. Canon could easily made this an f8 lens with the size of the body. I have an 82 to 77 stepdown ring on it and can use my 77mm filters with no vignetting .

We have a mating pair of bluebirds coming to our feeders, the male came by this afternoon when I had my Canon RP and new RF 600mm f11 lens out.

Canon does not support the use of micro UHS-II cards in adapters as most of them do not have the extra contacts needed for full UHS-II support. Canon states this in both my M5 and RP manuals.

The Canon 90D supports UHS-II cards so I would use them to get the most speed out of your camera. I use both Sandisk and Lexar exclusively. Never had any problems out of them.

Here is my setup and I got acceptable pictures (IMO) of Saturn, Jupiter was always washed out (Too much distance and light for both in the same picture). Remember, you are still only focusing on dots in the sky @ 600mm, you have to crop the picture to see the rings.

Canon 5DS R
Canon EF 300mm f/4.0
Canon 2X Extender (600 mm effective focal length)
Manual Mode
ISO 3200
Shutter 1/320
f/11
