Cadillac Ranch is on the list, thanks. I think I have all the big tourist stops. What I'm looking for are stops along the way that only the locals might know about that are real gems! Whenever we travel I always ask the locals what to see. They usually come up with things that are really good and not necessarily tourist traps. Thanks again to everyone who has helped out. I agree with you. Whatever we get to see in the two weeks we have will be sort of an introduction to Route 66. We can always go back and spend more time in the sections we really liked.

Once again I can't thank you all enough for all of your advice, suggestions and overall help! I only wish that we could now make this at least a one month trip instead of the two weeks we have. With all of your suggestions I don't think two weeks is enough time, but since that's all we have, we'll just have to make the best of it and pick and choose our stops. I'm sure it'll still be a great trip!

I know we're not going to be able to see everything there is to see, probably not going to see more than we do, but whatever we do see I'm sure will be great. With all this info I'm going to try to pick the things that look and sound like the most interesting and map them out. If we get to see most of them, great! If not, I'm sure what ever we do see will be great, and I'm sure we'll see things along the way that we weren't planning on - they'll be a bonus!

Once again, thanks to all of you for your suggestions. I honestly didn't think I'd get this many replies. This is great. I wish we had a couple of months to do the the trip. We'll do as much as we can in the two weeks we have.
I have a lot of books, maps, guides, and even an itinerary from a friend who has done the trip. But it's always good to get as much info as possible, especially the things I was not aware of!! So thanks again!!
