If you planned it, it’s talent. Nice photo!
I planned (or at least hoped) for a nice shot of the tunnel with the late afternoon sunlight, but the deer was pure serendipity.
Thanks for your advice, guys. I think I'll wait 'til something better comes along.
Sometimes the best talent a photographer can have is being in the right place at the right time. :)
Can someone tell me if this lens is compatible with a Nikon D7200?
Thank you everyone for your responses. I now know a great deal more about this process than I did. Now all I have to do is see if I can put it to work.
What program are you referring to; I can't even figure out how to get Registax to see the video?
I have some video of the Jupiter Saturn conjunction. I would like to process images from it in Registax to see what I can get. These are mov files is there any way to do this?
Love the pics. Like several others commenting here, I have memories of "working" F100s from my days in the service. I was in Korea in '68 (Army) and while the USAF had moved on to F4s the Korean Air Force was still flying these and joined us on some joint training exercises.
Thanks for the question, and the answers. I've had the same problem but I don't use macro very often so I would just fiddle with it until it switched back without ever figuring out what the problem was.

Personally, I wouldn't think that image needs printing. Just my opinion.
I'm curious; what is the value of being deliberately rude? Your comment adds absolutely nothing to the discussion of the pros and cons of glass prints.
Thanks everyone. I'm now sitting here chuckling at myself because I started this topic because there were so many choices and I knew so little. Now, thanks to all of you, I know a lot more, and there are still so many choices! I think I'm down to the 7100 vs 7200 and balancing more features against more cost.
Thank you all for the quick responses. My biggest problem was that there were just so many choices. You have narrowed the field so now I can start to finalize a selection.
I love my 3100, but I know there have been a lot of changes since it came out (mine is at least seven years old). I would like to upgrade with a used or refurb that would be compatible with my lenses and not spend a fortune, like less than a thousand bucks. Any suggestions?
I have three old cameras that I cherish. They are a 4x5 Graflex that belonged to my grandfather, a folding 110 Kodak that my father (and after he died, my mother) used, and an Argus C-3 that I carried with me during my time in the army. I have used all three of them, but now they are simply a connection to my past.
I have a computer full of pictures I have taken, many (all?) of them duplicated in two or more files, some different photos in different folders with the same file names, etc. etc. A couple of days ago I did a search for jpgs and some pictures showed up up to a dozen times. In other words, I have a mess that has been created over about a dozen years and I need help sorting it out. I would appreciate any suggestions.
