I lost Picasa when I downloaded the latest Mac update. Well I tried several different photo editing programs and none give me the editing tools Picasa afforded me. I went to a place in Nanuet NY Computuners and they did the trick they deleted the newest update and brought my Macbook back to 32 bit and got Picasa back for me. I use it to maintain my website at "woodywud.smugmug.com". I highly recommend them. They
very coast effective and if I have any problems they can with remote support fix some stuff

I may buy a laptop this year which would come with the latest system update (and also make Picasa unusable). Picasa has been the first step in my workflow for years, particularly its easy download from camera and image tilt).

When you were trying other editing tools, did any come close to what you need?

the camera tech is unreal for me as I just look around again.
had a vintage shop and did some trading in old photo and camera stuff - still have some cool things.
My question is this -
expensive cell phone with hi-tech camera? (expensive)
or a communication device separate and combined with a slip in the pocket camera of better quality than the phones. Small camera if carrying 2 pcs. of electronics.
(expensive also I guess)
The google phones are sending out software updates every month for quality and even post processing.
carry 2 things or 1 - update - hardware - software - can't afford to buy new things all the time
pics and video wanted
in the 60's,70's and the 80's was always a component stereo buff - could that come back?

I have all size levels from an iPod (no phone), through a cellphone, through some fixed-lens cameras, up to a Canon t2i,

I can't get used to the ergonomics of taking pictures with a cellphone or iPod camera. It just doesn't work for me and I waste much time with those little buggers. Perhaps six decades of "real" camera use has made it hard for me to embrace the new technology.

I did a 'doors-off' helicopter tour of Oahu. It was so much fun I did it again 2 days later. Beats a drone anyday!

I did many "doors-off" chopper tours of Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam. 51 years ago, Still fun, given the circumstances.

What are your thoughts on Photoscape X Pro, is it as good as Photshop Elements and Lightroom.

Just wondering

I use the paid version and am quite happy with its versatility.

I own copies of both PS and Elements and never use them.

Depends on what your processing needs and level of start-up patience.

What ever other do or do not do, right or wrong is none of your concern.

Your opinion is yours and yours alone. Sorry but there have been countless discussion as to what SOOC means. You are happy with it? So be it.

Just do not criticize what you do not appreciate for whatever reason. If you do, you will always be wrong.

Photography is an art form like any other. Art is individualistic, therefore, there is no right or wrong.
There are just observers choosing what apeals to us to enjoy. Things we don't enjoy,we just move beyond them. Doesn't make them wrong.

I've successfully photographed high school reunions with my LX100 and an auxiliary Metz Mecablitz 26 AF-2 flash. In fact, that flash is the smallest of the Metz line, yet it does the job for me.
