I’ve had the same problem..here’s the fix. On the Fuji download page it will show what the name of the file will be. After downloading onto your card, you may see a slightly different file name. Change the name to what the download page says, then insert the card into the camera, following directions.

Thanks to all the responses to my post. I’m now following the dprevived site, as I still cannot log onto the older site even after clearing caches, etc. But the new site looks good.

Like many others, I was disappointed to learn that DP Review was recently shuttered. But I continue to receive daily e-mails from them with links to reviews of brand new products that have been introduced after they officially shut down. When I click on the links, they show a locked sign and a blank page. I then tried to unsubscribe to the e-mails, but again, any links to DP Review go to a blank page. Anyone have an idea of what’s happening?

So I’ve decided on purchasing a Fuji XT-5. My question is related to the kit lenses being packaged with the XT-5 the 16-80 & 18-55. The 16-80 just about covers the range I would like so I’m leading that direction. I would like to know from users who have this combination what they think image quality, sharpness etc or if you had to purchase the Fuji XT-5 again would you pass on the kit lens and go with a different Fuji lens or lenses?

Unfortunately the 16-80mm Fuji lens is not on Fuji’s list of lenses that will benefit from the XT-5’s 40mp sensor. Google for that list. It’s a bit disappointing that they offer it as a kit lens. I use that lens on my XT-3 and XT-4 and it’s quite sharp, although not as sharp as the 16-55 and 50-140mm, both of which are on Fuji’s list of recommended lenses for the XT-5. Check out that list if you want to benefit from the XT-5’s higher resolution.

I'm thinking of getting this program to control my impulse to import everything into Lightroom. Just wondering if anyone's used it or is using it and is happy with it.I do practically all of my processing in LR Classic.

I started using PM years ago while working as a photojournalist, often having to cull through a thousand or more shots quickly. Although semi-retired I still use it to choose my selects before importing to LR. Couldn’t be happier with the program and still get many free updates after the initial purchase.

Another vote for a Fuji body with their excellent 18-55, although if your budget allows it, I’d consider the X-T4 specifically to get the IBIS. I believe the X-T4 is often sold with the very sharp and versatile 16-80, which would be my first choice. You’ll find that the Fuji is unite small and light, but the APS-C sensor delivers very useful low light/high ISO performance to at least ISO 6400.

One more vote for the Fuji XT-3 with the 18-55mm. I shot with that combo for years, winning a number of fine art awards for my prints....two of which were printed on aluminum at 60" x 40". An amazing little lens. I have now switched to the 16-80mm which is also an excellent "kit" lens...but I sometimes miss the 18-55mm which was smaller and lighter.

I used to shoot RAW only until I switched from Nikon to Fuji. Now I shoot RAW and JPG because with Fuji you can easily change camera settings to match the situation and to simulate many different film looks such as Vivid, Provia, etc. Shadows, highlights, film simulations, white balance, sharpening, etc. can be set in camera based on the conditions of the shoot. The resulting JPGs are superb, and I rarely need to process the RAW file. As a photojournalist for national magazines I rarely have to resort to the RAW file. In fact when I go through all the work of processing a RAW file I often find the result to be no better than the original JPG. I now consider my RAW files as backup in case I have a very demanding situation. Many, many Fuji shooters have discovered the same freedom from processing RAW files.

I highly recommend Blazing Editions in Rhode Island which now prints all of my large pieces for gallery exhibitions. I prefer white, semi-gloss aluminum with flush mount frames. I have printed pieces up to 40x60” and while expensive the quality is unequalled. They specialize in producing work shot by pros for gallery exhibitions. If you want the best, check them out.

I love shooting with my very small, lightweight Fuji F/2 primes as well as my slightly larger f/1.2 and 1.4 primes. They fit nicely on my XT-3 and XT-4 bodies and are extremely sharp. I use them mostly when in challenging light conditions (inside without flash) or when shooting street scenes. But when shooting landscape or events, I rely on my Fuji zooms. Moved to Fuji from Nikon to save weight and to have smaller footprint when shooting street. No regrets. Have even printed up to 60” on aluminum for exhibits.

I have a black XT2 and a silver XT3. I like the silver version better and get many, many people asking me about the silver XT3. Many think it’s an old film camera and give me a thumbs up. The controls on the silver version are also easier to read. Never had an issue with wildlife photography. Either version, these are terrific cameras.

Take a look at Photo Mechanics by Camera Bits. Highly recommended by photojournalists who need to sort and organize thousands of images from multiple shoots. For a printer I’d look at Epson.

I’m a retired photojournalist for the boating industry so I’ve shot many, many sailing events. Your 70-200 and 100-400 will cover most shots.I wouldn’t bother with a tele. Also, you have to be careful because the longer the lens, the more shake and boat motion you’ll have to deal with by increasing your ISO.Keep your shutter speeds to 1/1500 or more. Also, if your chase boat or committee boat is closer to the action, a 24-70 comes in handy. Just find a secure, dry place for your camera bag and a protected spot where you can quickly change lenses. Have fun!

The 1.4X works very well but I found the 2X delivers unacceptable performance. Lack of sharpness is noticeable.

I was there on a magazine assignment a few years ago with my Nikon 16-35, 24-70 and 70-200 along with a 1.4X tele. No need for anything more. I did use a tripod once in a while but it wasn’t really necessary. Enjoy the trip!

I was at Babcock exactly one week ago, and the colors were just beginning to change. I would imagine they are at their peak this week. Here's a shot of the Grist Mill.
