Have taken three trips to the Amalfi Coast: One by car (will never do that again!), one by five masted schnooer, and one by bus . Was able walk out on a pier and get some wide shots of Amalfi area. Incredible shots of the coast from the boat. Lots of places to walk around on the bus trip. Bring comfortable shoes. Lots of photo opportunities; colorful shops.

A truly graphic presentation: beautiful. What camera did you use to take the photo?

Just returned (Dec 24th) from 10 days in Maui that included a ferry ride to Lana. a zipline ride on Maui and a helicopter tour of Molokai in the rain (not recommended!). Had no problems with Oly OMD1 mk2 or the 40/150mm lense.

Have a 12-40mm on my mkII and have zero play; the same with 75-300mm. I would return it!

Spending two weeks driving in Minnesota/great lakes/Chicago area at the end of August with Olympus OMD1 mkII. Appreciate any suggestions on interesting areas I should be looking at? Thank, Alfaman

We (wife) used to put together a photo book of our major trips (about 300 pictures out of 2k) but Costco printed them up for us. Prohibitive expense to do it on home printer. We have not done the last two trips yet. Have a Canon pro-100 that works really well and an HP which does not. Usually print 8x10 size and keep them in a folder. Next step is a digital frame. Last two scheduled trips to Europe were cancelled; rescheduled for 2022. Turning 91 in June so time is of the essence.

There is a book by Tony Phillips "The complete guide to the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II" that is also downloadable to your cell phone.

This is not a recommendation just my experience: Was a Canon user for many years until two years ago when we took a riverboat trip to Normandy and I took my canon 6d with several lenses. Got some great shots But was frazzled by the time we returned. Decided then that I needed some lighter gear. After much research decided on the Olympus omd1 mk2. Last year we went to Spain/Portugal for twenty four days and I carried the camera with me every day. Mostly shot with 12-40mm F2.8 lense and got some great shots but also used a 40-150mm when necessary. The menu takes some getting used to but is manageable. With the 5x ibis it's easy to get along without a tripod. Just turned 89 and am waiting to see what the mk3 will bring.

Used the Godox ttl350 on my olympus omd1 mk2 at a birthday party using bounce flash and it worked very well. A lot less expensive than the olympus flash units and just as effective.

Took that trip last year and since I switched to Olympus OMD 1 mk2 micro 4/3s system I took all my lenses that now fit into a very small pack: 12-40mm, 40-150mm, 75-300mm, 45mm. Used them when appropriate. We did some hiking and carrying the olympus was a pleasure. I'm turning 89 in a couple of weeks and hauling a FF 6D with associate lenses would not have been fun as I did 4 years ago. Have a fun trip.

Well Mr Sandlin I am 3 weeks short of being 89 and I went from a Canon 6D to an Olympus omd1 mk2 because I got tired of hauling around a FF camera with it's associated heavy lenses. I am really happy with the change. I have not used the 6D since. Last year we went to Spain/Portugal for 24 days and I took the Olympus with me wherever we went. That would not have happened with the Canon. The Olympus difference is in the lenses which are much more compact. Between Olympus and Panasonic there are a plethora of mft lenses. I am thoroughly enjoying the mk2.

Bought my first REAL 35mm asahi spotmatic in Japan in 1966. Took several hundred slides in Japan and used the camera for several years until the film transfer mechanism stripped. Great camera until then. Moved on to Canon F1 in 1974. Still have it and it still works.

Another omd1 mk 2 user here. Bought it last year for a trip to Spain/Portugal (24 days). With the 12-40mm F2.8 it never left my hands. The menus take some getting used to but after a while begin to make sense. Still have my Canon 6D but haven't used it since I bought the olympus. The Oly just works for me.

Spent two weeks in Moab last year (not enough time!). Write to Utah parks & Recreation and they will send you a raft of info on their national/state parks. When I requested it it was free of charge. Go EARLY to avoid the crowds. It has become a popular destination. Deadhorse point will provide you with incredible views of the area and the Colorado River. The best views of Mesa Arch are seen very early in the morning. Have a great time.
