My experience was with the 4th Tac Fighter Wing at Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, N.C., right before I went overseas. I was a Weather Weenie in Det. 12, 3rd Weather. I loved Seymour and I loved the Phantoms.

Nice...I consistently carry a Case stainless folder and have switched from the Colt Mustang to the S+W EZ380.

Check almost any fire, ems, or police magazine and you'll find American made lights.

Stick to name brand and realize that the chinese lights are garbage. As a fireman my light has to work every time and put out copious amounts of light...and they do...and I have lights in all three vehicles and the house.

We called them "Herky birds" but that was all I recall except for the gunships. I never heard of a C-130 being called a blackbird...SR71. And in my four years and three months every base I went to had the Herkies! I flew to Exotic Dancer 2 in one. We loved them because they were solid and never crashed.

My $5,000 Sony setup was used to take a moon photo which we then compared to one of the new phones...damn, damn, DAMN! His was actually better.

I took a slew of pics while inside Hoover...no problems and great shots...and the millions upon millions of tons of water just a few feet away didn't bother me at all.........much!! This is all while the seepage is running past you, of course.

It's been years since we've been there but there aren't really any bad shots to be had...just don't get so tangled up in trying to get just the right shot that you miss the entire beauty and spectacle of the Canyon.

What a great video. We lost one of our own that day to a trucking accident...a man who had devoted much of his life to helping others through emergency services and being a fireman. I was called to the North end of the county a little after noontime on the eleventh and found an overturned flatbed with the driver pinned. They had to cut the cab off the truck to access the driver and we found that it was Clyde Black, a longtime fireman and rescue squad member. His widow walked from the memorial to the burial site about a mile and a half carrying his helmet through a tunnel of fire and rescue trucks, a bagpiper played Amazing Grace, and the pagers were set off to the siren of one of the engines for the Last Call. RIP Clyde...you were a hero. We have said for years that if we had to lose him that it was appropriate that it was on 9-11.

Unfortunately the hoodlums have torn down a lot of the statues and the towns are taking the rest down so as to "protect" them...and these idiots are tearing them all down, South, North, Educators, etc., it doesn't make any difference to these uneducated thugs and the liberal police are doing absolutely nothing about it.

Our government, aided strongly by our media, is pushing towards electric and there's a multitude of environmental, disposal, pricing, charging, off road, etc., etc. with the electrics. I simply won't take an electric to Moab or the Rubicon.

A station last week put four hours and twenty eight thousand gallons of water on an electric car. We have a few car fires each year but haven't had one in a hybrid or full electric yet although we have trained on how to handle them. For a variety of reasons I won't have an electric since the media is trying to tell us how great they are when there's major problems yet to be solved. Nobody is talking about the disposal problem with the batteries. One other point from a fire standpoint...wrecked electrics and hybrids are parked in open areas of salvage yards because of the fire danger once they've been wrecked.
