Hi folks. I am looking for an L-bracket for the Sony A1 - NO grip. I like Kirk as they have the QD option.
Thanks for consideration!

I purchased this camera from original owner thinking it would be nice to have a landscape camera. The resolution is really nice and with 61 mp, there is room to crop or print large. Well, I just don't do that much landscape work. I am more of an action wildlife photographer. I like my gear pristine and it has an Alphaguard Skin plus screen protector and is in excellent condition both cosmetically and operationally. The skin is easily removed and leaves no residue. It has 21000 clicks. Mostly it just sat in my bag or on a shelf. It comes with all original items as new: battery, charger, USB cable, manual etc.

I will accept PP and will cover the fees and shipping in the contiguous United States. Price: $1600

Two years ago I switched to Sony. I found a few items when I cleaned out the photog shelves. Please note conditions. I am asking you pay for shipping.

Nikon D500 - this took a spill in a marsh and upon inspection, it has corrosion. I continued to use it for about a year and then it started having problems. I don't remember what but I call it not usable. This is a for parts only situation.

Nikon TC-17E II - I must have dropped it as mounts to the lens are bent. It will seat but I wouldn't. I don't know how much Nikon would charge to fix this. If no one takes this, I will send the TC cover along with the D500 assuming someone takes it.

RavPower UHub - model RP-UM001. This has never been used. From what I can see, you can charge your phone with it. There is also SD slot - so maybe does image transfer??. Anyway it's free for the price of shipping.

Please don't ask me to upload images. Everything looks new with noted dents in TC.

I agree with all. I use that rotation with my my batteries as well, but for that moment I did the opposite with the batteries just to prove my hypothesis at the time.

As far as 3rd party batteries are concerned: I have heard so many shooters on this forum that use "Wasabi Batteries"
with great results, so I bought one. I tested it in many ways (A Lot that I won't bore you with) and found it to be as good as my Nikon Original. I now own 5 of these for my D750, and highly recommend them highly. JMO.

Thanks,
Boone.
I agree with all. I use that rotation with my my b... (show quote)

Boone...let's hope your Wasabis hang in past a year. After that year mark, mine (2) no longer took a full charge and were only good for a short time in the field. Into the trash they went.

3rd party grips work just fine...batteries, not so much. I found I preferred using the battery in grip first so I didnt have to remove the grip to charge...but didnt often use a remote trigger. Now that I shoot Sony, moot point.

I value everyones tips so I learn to think about things differently.

That will work only if the recipient in XX years will have a CD/DVD drive in/on their computer.
Otherwise they will have to purchase an external drive.
Our new laptops have no internal CD. I purchased an external.
Low probability my kids will have a CD drive on their computer...
Then, one would have to keep creating new CDs for all the recent photos after the initial burn.

Yes, this was a topic of discussion with my daughter about the format issues going forward. We have video from their childhood that has already been burned to CD...but no one has a CD player anymore. What to do about that one??

I do think as things stand now, storage looks to be done in the cloud that are hosted at large server farms. BackBlaze seems to be a good option according to all the research I have done on the options. Amazon prime also offers free storage, but retrieval should you lose everything from a hard drive perspective is the weak spot here.

I have 3 adult children. My daughter is most likely interested in them and asked for them in a printable, sharable and digital format. That is my Flikr page for more casual and SmugMug for more professional level printing should she or someone every want it. These are organized into albums each in it's own but obvious way. I have made a password list for my daughter, so she knows where things are and can decide to keep these services. Or not. I mostly do nature photography there isn't alot of memory there for her which is one reason I do photography. I plan to create a private section for family photos and I have let her know if something happens before I get that all done, it's all on my LR external hard drive. She can hire someone to help her with it and if she decides to let the hosting services go. I have kept up with keywording and the organization is obvious when you get into it.

As for the rest of it as you put it, maybe you could leave some ideas for your kids. I have always printed an annual calendar. Maybe this carries on. Printing for nursing homes? I do think once we are gone, what helps those left behind to remember us is different for each person.

Hands down, A1. Moved from Nikon to Sony. The A7R4 is my backup. It does not have bird eye AF but does have animal. Just doesnt hold a candle to A1 for action. I use it for landscape mostly and wish I had funds for a second A1.
