Great Pictures. I have visited this light House and climbed to the top. Great views from the top. It is just down the road from Jacksonville.

These are pictures of the new Tiger exhibit at the Jacksonville Zoo. I just bought this camera last month and was out practicing taking pictures at the Zoo.

Again I would like to thank everyone for their comments and opinions in the two cameras. I went to a camera store and was able to hold each camera and play with the buttons and features. I purchased the Nikon D3200 with a 18-55 VR lens and a 55-200 VR Lens. I liked the feel and button placement better on the Nikon. One feature that sold me was the record button was next to the shutter button which makes it easier to start recording a video without accessing the menu. Now I will have to practice with the camera so I am familiar with all the features before our trip to Alaska in July. I am looking forward to learning a lot of valuable tips and information from this site. Again thanks to everyone.

Thanks for all the comments. I do not take offense to the comments about the spelling. I should not have been in such a hurry and not proofread my post. I think I will go to a camera store and hold each camera and others and talk to a salesperson who is not biased towards either one. I am not one of the new members that will leave because of the comments about spelling. Everyone has their opinion about cameras, but I have received much good information about different cameras.

Thank you for your input. Snapfish.com rates the Nikon just ahead of the Canon but My brother who has a Canon says buy the Canon. Ho said go to a store that sells both and handle them and then make the choice.

I am going to upgrade to a new camera and was wondering which would be the best choice, a Nikon D3200 or a Cannon T3i. Both are in the price range that I can afford.I can purchase both bundled at Sams. The Nikon has more mega pixels (24) than the Cannon (18). The Cannon has a tilting led screen that is better for videos. Is there that much difference in the mega pixels for a non professional photographer? Each camera has its plusses and minuses. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with both who would be willing to share. I used to have a Minolta SRT 101 that was all manual so I have some experience in photography. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My name is Howard and I am retired. I am looking to upgrade to a DSl camera. I am trying to decide between a Nikon D3200 and a Cannon T3i. Both seem to have good features. I like the 24 megapixels on the Nikon but 18 Megapixels in the Cannon would work. Please give your opinion on these cameras and what would you choose. Thanks for any replies in advanced.
