This image is from a trip to Italy over 2 years ago. It is one that I haven't spent much time with but I like that it has the elements of sky, architecture and nature. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with.

Has anyone had cataract repair before? How did it effect your making photographs? Would the tri-focal be better than the distance focused lens?

i had the trifocal lenses put in and have very close to 2020 vision now (NO GLASSES) and love them for photography and anything else. Took me no time at all to get used to them (it is pretty automatic)

I'm looking for a tripod head that has a plate that can slide forward and back like a video plate but for stills. I can't tell from the sites like manfrotto if they slade because all of the photos are centered. My goal is to mount a plate on my Tamron 150-600mm lens so I can quickly attach it to the tripod and slide it forward or back to balance it depending on how for forward the lens goes when I zoom. I see numbers like 357pl, 501pl, 200pl, Arca-Swiss. Thanks in advance.

the tamron 150-600 collar has an arca swiss compatible mount on it.

Here's my edit a little cropping to add interest and move main subject out of the center. Then lightroom did the rest

i assume you have the lens cover off and that you pressed the shutter or backbutton focus to get the camera to autofocus?

If there are multiple layers in your image, flatten them: "Layer...Flatten Image".

flattening layers is generally not a good idea if you are trying to preserve the ability to undo or redo or modify any of your adjustment layers. I never flatten my layers.

If you are cloning to a new blank layer be sure to have the all layers or all layers below check box on the clone tool bar. click while holding alt (option on MAC) as your source material and then click and paint on the destination spot.
