I'm not fond of special effects, I feel they often are way overdone when something softer, simpler would be much more effective. Although I wouldn't do it for myself, I do kind of like your coloured rendition of the emu.
Whether a photo with special effects would be seleted in a comptetition would depend on the judges, on the specs for the competition and on the categories for the competition.
But hey, why not try it? If you are allowed more than one entry, it may even be possible to enter the same picture twice, one with and one without the special effects.

I don't know much about photography as of yet, But I agree with you 100%

That locking knob looks like a good solution and worth getting - I'll keep the link for when I'm ready to get this going. Thank you !

Thought you might like that lock. At least you can walk away from your bike and not fret about some crook swiping you mounts. I'm thinking about of three of em.

I actually went to the RAM website and scrolled through many of their products but I still like the setup you have on your bike best except I would find a way to attach a quick disconnect for the camera. Not sure when I'll actually get around to getting this taken care of.

Do you worry about anyone stealing your RAM parts or do you take them off when you have the bike parked in an unsecured area?

Ahhh Ok, I understand... Yes I do worry, and I never leave them attached to the bike when I can't keep it in view. In all honesty they are real easy to remove so really not all that much of a problem to remove em and stick em the trunk or saddlebag. Now They do make a real nice lock for those as well. I'll look for one and will link you to it. Here ya go, this is easy... Go to ebay, copy and paste this into the search and you find just what you would need to lock it up.

I have the 1" for my GPS on the left handlebar .... But I would mount this on the right handlebar like you did so I would have to buy all new components... so whatever size you recommend would work best is what I would consider. Thank You !

Howdy Bob, Was just wondering if you checked any of thos mounts out ? and if so, what one did you think best for your needs ?

for me that is one of the advantages of helmet mount, while i'm flying. after you watch a couple of video's. it's easy to appreciate turning your head. get to record everything that caught the eye.

I agree on the helmet cam mount. I used my action cam and shot video catching scenes that you would only catch while being able to turn your head pretty quick. True there is the quick jerking affect but hey, at least ya got what you wanted. Also the helmet mount does reduce all lot of the bouncing affect. Sense I ride a Goldwing 1800, I really don't have that big of a problem. Not saying that the Goldwing rides like your riding on air, but they come close IMHO.....

This country has a problem, a very serious problem. It is not just individual politicians, it's the Democrats vs. Republicans way of life that is destroying the USA. This "must win" attitude is not good for the country. It's about time both sides come to the table and start working together for the people that put you in office! I, for one, am disgusted with the antics that are going on. Here's and idea... maybe all of them should be thrown out of office and start fresh!!

Here ! Here !!
I agree 110% with you... Power & Greed of man is taking this country down. I truly doubt that the usa will ever improve. Also, Washington is in need of one hell of an enema.

Bob, The round plate with the ball on it, it has the same size shaft as your tripod does. The only change that I made in it was, I added a thicker base because the shaft was a bit long. It works great. Now tell me, What size is your RAM MOUNT BALL 1" 2" ????

I love your "rampod" setup. Is there any chance you could provide a link for the exact components you used? Of special interest is how you connect the camera body at the top. I would like to try to figure out how to mount a quick-release base at the top so it would be quick to attach/detach the camera. I appreciate the time you took to take and post the pictures - it sure helps visualize things better.

Howdy Bob,
Yep, I'll do that in the morning. As for a quick release base, I think ya might be able to make up something. I'll also check on that for ya. Ram just might have one of those already made up. Will be in touch in the morning sometime....

I will say that I hate the way some gay people act. Hell I'm gay and I have no need or desire to go waving flags yelling "I'm Queer, And I'm Here" My personal life is mine, and that's it. Hell, I'm kinda in shock that I even say all of this... In all, To each his own as long as it's not hurting anyone, Just don't shove it in everyone's faces.....

This is a really cool set up, bet it works great on your trike.

Thanks Greg, Yep, it sure does. I will only use it when I'm parked and bike is on the side or center stand. I would never try using it for taking photos while riding, however I do mount my little action cam to it, and it works pretty good. When I took my trip out west I didnt have the case for the cam so I got a got real bad noise from the wind blowing into the mike. Now that I have a case, that should put an end to that problem. I'll post a photo or two of it. I have some video clips on you tube that I took with the little cam. If ya care to see them I'll post a link in the link section. Keep in mind most of them are noisy as heck... I think I did manage to hide the cam behind the windscreen and that helped a bit...
