Wow! What tough luck or lack of luck, anyway would your homeowners or any other insurance cover the loss? I'd check just in case or it'd be a good excuse to add your equipment onto your homeowners. I'm really sorry to hear of your misfortune but do have fun shopping for a new camera.
Great and beautiful place to see and visit, you've really did Monument Valley justice.
I have a Canon SX50, which I bought after getting my Mom and my in-laws one for Christmas several years ago. My SX50 is invaluable as I took it to Disney World last November (I decided I didn't want to carry my Canon 6D all over the place). I got really great photos and I was really pleased with it , not to mention the ease walking around. Hopefully you'll find something comparable to what you had and good luck.

In September and October we took a car trip from Connecticut to California (and back); we stayed off the interstates as much as possible. We were on US 40 in Ohio when I saw a beautiful landscape. By time I pulled over, I was about 1/4 of a mile from the site. As I walked back to take the photo, two people stopped and asked if everything was okay, if I needed help. I just explained that I wanted that shot and they gave me a thumbs up and were on their way. My wife's reaction, "People are really friendly here."

Us Ohio folk we try to be friendly and hospitable to people just passing by and we try to look out for each other. I'm glad the people who stopped left you with a good impression as I've had the same thing happen to me while my wife and I were on our travels.
Does this lens come with auto focus? Thanks!
We went to the falls last spring and stayed on the Canadian side. Just be ready to spend your money because nothing is cheap..... But we did have fun and the falls from that side is breath-taking!
I can't speak for anyone else but I upgraded to full frame last December and never have I regretted it. I waited until the Christmas deals hit and I made my move by buying a Canon 6D with a 24-105 lens, and grip, I love it. I had been saving my nickels and dimes so that helped but justified it by telling my wife it would be my Christmas. When UPS delivered it, my wife had me give it to her and she wrapped it up for Christmas, it just made it more fun that way. Do your research, listen to everyone's opinion, and then buy what "YOU" want. You'll be more happy that way. This is just my opinion.
I always send edited files to outside companies like this but I always send a jpeg file and I never had a problems. I always use CG Pro Prints for my canvas prints and I've always gotten great results. Maybe I've just gotten lucky? Here is the website:

These shots are very beautiful! and I've never heard of this spot but now it's been added to my list of vacations spots....
I bought through Greentoe once before and it was a good transaction. I believe it was for a Canon 17-40mm L lens but I soon found out they would not accept Discover or PayPal even though the purchase was through was trough Adorama. But I still have no complaints I just used a Visa instead.
I've used the Xume system exclusively since I found out about them on this site. I use them on all my lens and filters and never had a problem with the filter falling off, not turning or adjusting correctly, or the lens cap not fitting correctly. I always keep a lens filter on all my lens thus a cap will always be on the lens.
