UHH is divided into sections that make it easy for anyone to avoid discussions they find objectionable. My sole interest is a few photography sections so I do not use chit-chat.

Having said that, political correctness (and differing views of what is or is not) has become ridiculous.

My v**e is leave chit-chat open to subject (even divide it into subcategories) but preserve the freedom of expression.

Get a new administrator for chit-chat.

The Administrator of chit-chat is the UHH owner, user name ADMIN.

As the owner of the site that allows us free access, he has every right to set wh**ever rules he desires. Get over yourself.

Other sections that Admin manages personally:
main discussion, links/resources, buy and sell, contests/ challenges, photo analysis, Nekked Ladies and The Attic.

So.... it’s his coloring book , and he owns the crayons and is in charge. I’m sure he’s a big deal, legend in his own mind, but he happens to be a very insecure and Radical mind cop power monger , I don’t care to know, as I have previously stated , this maybe my own personal SWAN-SONG, but I happy and proud to sing it. Before I’m totally done away with, take a look at my posts anywhere, not just in the HYPER-SENSITIVE CHIT CHAT SECTION, but no where. On the Hogg have I belittled or besmirched a party or candidate, not have I said much of anything political . I’m singing....RJM

RJM first thank you for your service in VietNam as a navy medical CORPSMAN.
Second thank you ever so much for your life long career in Anesthesia...
Possibly one of the most challenging fields of medicine...
btw, I have a colleague studying to become a Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA).

As for the lovely lady in your post?
Her beautiful and skillfully groomed brows frame her eyes...

Thank you for sharing...

Wow and wow! Thank you so much for that really nice compliment. And guess what? This PERSON, you just spoke so kindly of, was just kicked off of the chit chat section, for being POLITICAL ON THE CHIT CHAT section, ..I have never besmirched any candidates or party, actually , due to my history( Vietnam vet, corpsman)for many vets that died in my presence, my “position on many things might be predictable, and the chit chat section administrator is a fuzzbal that determined I must be eradicated. My response to him today may get me Siberia bound...oh HECK. Thanks again for knowing and careing about my History............RJM / HM3

It may be my last post on any Hogg section, and I don’t mind terribly, but I have just been deleted from the chit chat section. For ever having mentioned the word America or government or even the WORD “politics”, I was WARNED BY THAT SECTION’s administrator a number of times for it being determined that my posts were somehow. Political. I never besmirched either party or any candidates, and really didn’t getactually POLITICAL . The administrator of the chit chat section just deleted me from chit chat. ... dare I tell you what I replied to him/her? The. I dare anyone to check out ALL OF MY POSTS. Where did I get political? Just because anyone could guess that I tend to be independent doesn’t mean I’m chastizeing people that pick a side. Does anyone know the dupe that administers the CHIT CHAT SECTION. The person’s a JOKE!!..........I’m singing. ......... RJM

Love Julia Childs comment!

I remember San Francisco sourdough bread. One hotel kept their starter on the roof. They claimed the cool foggy air resulted in the unique taste.

Thats something like using Chicago tap water in the starter. Imagine letting it(the dough) ferment in SanFran air along with an ingredient being :chicago tap water?? whoa!!!!..................................................................RJM

Thank you Mark! The starter is home made from King Arthur flour and Chicago tap water.

I wonder if making a "Poolish or a BIgah" pre-ferment, is almost as good as PARENTING/Babysitting sour-dough?? They seem similar in concept. Ive never really TENDED to a sour-dough STARTER, I don't have the patience, but love the bread.. Our local bakery makes GREAT sour-dough, but charges DEARLY for it...............................RJM oooh! Chicago Tap water, that's the secret...Scarey!!

I see this view every morning while having my first cup of coffee. It is usually pretty dull. Today the light, as usual, made the difference.

Thanks for looking and commenting.

I think it is quite nice, as captured and cropped. It wouldn’t necessarily reflect the image conjured-up by “looking out your window”, if you shot differently. As someone ELSE suggested. Nice pic. RJM

Yes for the brotforms, although it seems some sort of design to imprint on the top of the bread loaves is the real 'next level' of equipment I'm suppose to have.

I wonder if the previously mentioned “LAME’ “ is the little tool used to score the dough just before BAKING??.RJM. I made one using a piece of black walnut, double edge blade and a couple little brass bolts and wing nuts.

The origins of bread-making are so ancient that everything said about them must be pure speculation.
