Great images, but going back and forth between the photos and the subject distracts from the experience.
I’m not sure, since it’s only been a few days since the discussion ended.
I’m about to leave on a trip to the Amazon and have fully charged four batteries then put them in separate plastic baggies. I’ll check them when I get to Brazil. If I find anything surprising, I’ll post the details.
Thank you all for your insights and suggestions.
Thank you, but I’m experiencing battery drainage even if the batteries are not in the camera.
I have a Sony a6000 that I use as my lightweight travel camera. It takes great photos and performs great. HOWEVER, when put on the shelf its batteries drain down to dead almost instantly—I have to admit that I’ve not done a scientific monitoring to verify how “instantly” “instantly” is.—but a grab and go shoot is out of the question. Has anyone else had this experience with batteries for Sony a6000 cameras?
I think it’s a great shot! I think you were saying, “Holy buffalo chips, isn’t nature amazing!?!”
Great lighting. You succeeded in turning a common item into an interesting subject. Bravo!
Gorgeous shot! Tell me, am I addled or is this car longer than the stock 55? My recollection is that they were shorter in both the front and the rear ends. Is it my judgment that's off?
I have a Canon PowerShot G12. It's a great camera in perfect condition, but I don't use it enough. I'm not sure, but I think the shutter count is below 200. I just checked eBay, and they're asking prices that go all over the place, from mid-$200s down to $30 for a "parts only" camera. I've never tried to sell it--I have to admit that I still really like it because it does almost everything I want to do, and it's light weight--but the grandson factor pulls at me. I'd sell it for $100 plus shipping ($20?).
PM me if you're interested.
Very nice, strong portrait. Welcome.

Thanks. Isn't there an express route from PA?
Hmmm… There are roads where people express their bizarre personalities, but none that speed things up substantially.
