I am in awe of anyone who can live any place that has weather like yours. Good luck.

For the family and friends picture wall in a hallway I used 6-inch strips of eighth-inch steel glued to the wall with construction adhesive and glued magnets on the frame backs. Once that's done, arranging and rearranging takes seconds. However, it's not the cheapest way to go and takes some little time to glue the pieces to the wall. Next time, a sheet of galvanized metal and paint, I think.

Great shots. Is that by any chance Tracy Arm? Looks a tad familiar. Your shots remind me of one I took up there whilst of a quest to cool off a bit:

I suppose someone considered this art of a sort; joke is more likely I think. Took this shot in Naples a few years back during one of their garbage strikes there.

The thing I noticed right off, or nearly so, was that the color of the front of her dress very nearly matched the background making her appear much thinner. The shadow of her arm really threw me for a bit.

Wonderful stuff, Briace. I'm all the more ready to go back. One odd thing, though: No people. Did you use Photomerge scene cleaner on the poor saps?

I don't typically do any post processing, but I wanted to see what I could achieve on this one. I wanted a blend of reality mixed with a touch of surrealism. Thoughts?

I really like your shot, Greg. I quite often will do stuff like this - especially if the original wasn't up to snuff. In fact, some forgettable photos turned out very well on post processing and have become among my favorites. Maybe I'll post a few one day.

God, what a beautiful boat.
From my limited time in Alaska, those pics look as if they were taken on pretty nice summer days.

I have a similar problem with my Canon iP6000d. Seems that one of the magenta heads is plugged and none of he cleaning routines have worked. Tried soaking the head in alcohol to no avail. I'm ready to try some stronger chemical like lacquer thinner but am afraid it might dissolve the whole head. Any thoughts out there?
