OK, I've had enough. I hereby quit paying my dues. It's been fun.

In one of the other six active topics on this hot-button, radical change, BebuLamar suggested that a large number of digest readers don't actually participate on UHH. I had already confirmed that most of the complainers in these seven active topics have hardly ever commented, let alone created a new topic.

We "newest topics" users are obviously the superior race of Hogs

That's why I couldn't figure out to what the reference.
I didn't see anything different in what I view, and I don't get the digest.
So I wouldn't know, would I.....

Yes CONTEXT! Just "New Format" is a bit ambiguous...... ANY format.

Yes, if you read the digest, you would have understood. Sorry.

WORDS, use words.

Alas, what other format would the poster be referring to? Context, context, context.

Then, the 'voters' might consider if this unchanged method of using the site presents a useful, effective and efficient method of navigating the site's content.

Paul,

I can't decide whether you like the change or agree with me and if I am considered an "adult" or not.

The new format is terrible. I can't find anything. Let's go back to the old format.

Today the Admin announced a major change to the digest. I, for one, don't like it.

Perhaps other feel the same and would like to have a say.

What do you mean by “so far, not good”? Very few side effects and a vast number of serious infections prevented and lives
saved. Since 1900, the average lifespan of humans has more than doubled and that is due to advances in medical science including vaccines.

As for climate change, data, sorry to be rude, but that is BS and you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve spent decades collaborating with NOAA and NASA on the collection and storage of weather data, both historical and modern including satellite data. I’ve seen the data directly from the satellites and talked to literally hundreds of scientists analyzing the data at NOAA, NASA and at Universities, and the data is not “all over the place” and there is no “manipulation”. The data is clear for anyone with an open mind and without prejudice. You may not like the results, but the data is clear. Are you spending your time reading conspiracy rags?

In my opinion, this anti-science, anti-vax anti-climate change conspiracy in every corner crap is the biggest challenge we face today as a country and a world. How did we get from the “science centric years” of the 60s to this? Comments like yours make me despair for our country and our world.

Not wasting any more time on this - unwatching.

Ed, in addition to a statin which reduces the cholesterol your liver produces, I take Zetia (Ezetimibe) which reduces the fat that your gut absorbs. The result is that while I am more careful with my diet, my cholesterol dropped from 325 (!) with a 5:1 LDL to HDL ratio when I had my first “widow maker” MI, to 160 with a 1.5:1 ratio now. My MD had warned me for years it was high, but he didn’t tell me it would kill me. I guess he assumed that I had done as much reading/learning about my body as I did about photography and my other technical hobbies. My bad.

Getting the new Covid booster Wednesday, but waiting a few days for the flu vaccine. Haven’t scheduled the RSV vaccine yet until I hear a bit more about any adverse reactions in a larger population of recipients.

My ratio hasn't been good for a long time. I'll talk to the doc. Zetia.

Thanks again,

I can tell you from experience that ignoring your cholesterol can have dire consequences such as a major heart attack you’re lucky to survive. if yours are high, statins can dramatically lower cholesterol levels and save your life.

Thanks, TriX. I have been on a statin for years and it keeps my cholesterol down well. I just mentioned it because it seems like as soon as the big pharma have us on their blockbuster drugs you don't hear anything about the bad thing being bad now.

I have always had the impression that RSV was a pediatric infection. Adults apparently have natural immunity to it.

ADs be damned.

I notice that, now that everyone is on a statin for cholesterol, we never hear about cholesterol being a harmful chemical. :)
