You are right, actions do speak louder than words. And after your misrepresentation of your "test" results, I doubt that many people who have read this thread will ever consider buying from you. If your actions were taken for the purpose of trying to sell a camera, then your business practices are reprehensible and I, for one, would never consider you a respectable or trustworthy enough vendor to entrust you with my business. I wonder how you misrepresented the D700 to the poor guy who bought it. I'm sure you will deny having done so, and maybe you are being truthful, but I wouldn't trust you at this point, and will remain skeptical of anything you say in the future.

Okay, I don't understand something. Why do we see on the Nikon shot a shadow of a tree but not on the Canon shot? Also, on the Canon shot we can see very pronounced shadowing of the panes but none on the Nikon shot. Were these taken at different times of the day or even on the same day?
demarlow you are right on it looks like the sun is seting on the canon shot! and on the Nikon it looks like its shot about 2 o'clock. This is not a good test!!!

I'm not posting this as a good photo. Go ahead and laugh all you want. It's not really a photo anymore. I am attempting to find and learn the many tools and features tucked away in PSE12.

Saw a sunburst-shaped oil stain yesterday and wondered if it was possible to turn it into a good-looking photo. The answer was NO, but I used it as "scrap canvas" to play with star-shaped brushes, supplied frames, the star-burst effect and other doo-dads. I am going to learn to use all of this program. It will take more odd experiments, but I am on a mission. Please excuse me if I post weird test photos from time to time.

I like the photo I bet you could sell it as Abstract Art and make big money on it "very 1960s" ;)

I have specialized in studio pet photography for 8 years and recently started taking pre school pictures in the pre schools. The lens I use for my pet photos is a Canon EF 16-35mm 2.8 L series lens. It is a fantastic lens for the photos I shoot in my studio. I need a zoom lens for my preschool photography that is just as sharp. I was considering the 24-105 f/4 L series lens by Canon. Any suggestions?

Hi all! We're going to Disney World the second week in December, and at first I wasn't planning on taking my DSLR because they can get up and walk off so easily (and not necessarily at the parks either!). My first thought was to just get a decent P&S that I could keep in my pocket, but to get one that I could adjust some manual settings I'd be looking at around $300 I figure. So instead I decided that I could just get a lens that I could just leave on my camera the entire trip for around the same amount, and just make sure my camera doesn't leave my sight. This way I can be building my collection with something that will get more use than a P&S :) Right now I have the 18-55mm and the 55-250mm lenses that came with the camera. The 55-250 is my favorite, but you have to get back so far sometimes to get everything in the picture, even at the 55 length, that I'd like to have something a little shorter. I do like the amount that I can get in the picture with the 18-55, but I prefer the quality of my pics with the 55-250. That being said, I'm thinking something where the shortest length would be maybe 18 or a little longer. It doesn't have to zoom as far as 250 though, I'd be happy with that. I don't have to have to have the Canon brand name (I know several people here use Tamron and Sigma), and I'd like to stay in the $400 or less range. I know everyone says you should master what you have before getting anything else, and I agree, I just don't want to be carrying around a ginormous camera bag and changing lenses every time I turn around. I have a Kodak z990 that could do everything, but I don't like it (even though I plan to take it as a back up or for my hubby!).. LOL! I'm open to all suggestions though, so don't hold back :)
Thanks in advance!!
