Very interesting. I flew a Cessna 182RG for 20 years. The Caravan was on my wish list as a very durable cargo carrier which could be modified for STOL (short takeoffs and landings. - Webby Webster

Just curious. How did this site get the name "Ugly Hedgehog?"

Used a CANONl D60 with six lenses and peripheral goodies for these last six years. Use PS Elements and Lightroom for post-processing. Used this bundle very much, but never reached more than 50% capacities of all of the camera/lens features. Reached 86 years of age and tired of traveling around with 25 pounds of gear when going overseas. Traded in all for a new SONY RX10iii. Could not be any happier!

Hundreds of fudge shops at the island. Snap pictures, close up of different fudge flavors/styles. Go home and process into a delicious montage! Been at Mackinaw Island over thirty times . . . mostly racing in the Chicago-Mac.Isl. sailboat race.

Have used SONY RX100 iii for ten months. Shoots RAW and has features equivalent to many full sized digital bodies. Excellent performance. Now $748 at Amazon.

I have been happily using a SONY RX-100III since last fall (2016). Recently purchased a SONY RX-10IV when I traded out all of my DSL CANON gear. I am too old to lug around 20 Lbs. of gear for my world travel while now in my mid-80's. Never could be more satisfied. Ability to capture RAW images is important to me inasmuch as I post process with Adobe Photo Elements and Lightroom. Resolution of both cameras excellent.

I used to lug similar CANON gear around on my overseas trips. Found that I was using my CANON 60D most of the time with an EF-105mm f/4L IS USM. I have streamlined my gear down to a new SONY RX-10III, a polarizing filter and a SIRUI T 1205X 5-section carbon fiber Travel Tripod. I am 86 and no longer serving as a "donkey" to camera gear. Incidentally, my wife and I enjoyed a similar river cruise two years ago --
Budapest to Amsterdam. The most precious item assisting my captures was an I-Pad loaded with a GPS ap. This alerted me to all of the castles ahead on the rivers.

Have been to Toronto three times. Toronto is a great city to explore and has plenty of photogenic scenes. Good choice.I am a "photo enthusiast; Not a Pro. Have traveled much of the world, lugging CANON bodies, lens, peripherals and tripod. All bundled into a compact backpack, weighing approximately 25 pounds. In my old age, rather than continue being a "mule" for my photography. Got smart. Instead, traded in much of my stuff and streamline by travels to a new SONY RX-10iv. Recently traveled to Bermuda and Nassau, getting acquainted with the Sony. In all events, customs and immigration were never a problem. My web page (FLIKR) is https://www.flickr.com/photos/104410459@N08/
A final NOTE: New York LaGuardia Airport is the worse AP in the world. Clearing in from overseas is like entering a 3rd World country.

Have had CANON 60D for three years. Love it, especially tilt screen and ability to slave external flashes without use of an external transmitter. I have several lens, but use the CANON EF 24-105 f/4L as primary all-round lens. Great dependable quality.

I recently purchased CANON Pro-10 (small improvements from Pro-100). I am completely satisfied with its performance.

A corollary to this question might be:

"If I (photo enthusiast "amateur") enter one of my best pictures into a juried photo event and the top honors are won by a "professional," should I be P.O'd?

Looks nice and professional to me. If you want to see a really ugly body, do a search on the old Sony MAVICA camera, one of the early digital cameras in production.

Hey Dave. About that prime rib. I always cook my food (images) from RAW. The cooking (post-processing, starting from RAW), always results in a more appealing product (final image.... usually jpeg. -- Webby from FL
