Using the tutorial I posted, I created the same effect in minutes...

The original image was small (center one)

Process (additional to the one offered)
Create a large canvas
Copy and paste new layer, transformed it into a smart object.
Moved it to the center of the canvas.
Followed the tutorial.

I did not follow the exact scale.

I looked up to find a tutorial and I did find a recent one...

This link shows a basic tutorial. It is rather simple to do, but might be time-consuming.

Thank you for posting this.

Petapixel announced, with other media outlets, the creation of the World’s First ‘Miss AI’ Competition. If that was not weird enough...

These AI-generated women will then be ranked by an expert panel of four judges that includes two of the world’s biggest AI-generated influencers, Emily Pellegrini and Aitana Lopez - Link is NSFW -.

As if that was not otherworldly enough, further down in the article...

So we can expect AI to compete against each other and... Make decisions as to what AI is the winner?????????

Simple:
JPG is processed in camera and depends on your settings.
raw, on the other hand, is only partially processed by the camera, but not to the extent of a JPG.

Depending on the raw viewer you use, it may not look at the embedded JPG included in your raw file. The raw file then looks... interesting.

Just remember a single thing: raw is potential for better results.

While I was happy with my three screen setup, I was not when it came to post-processing.

I upgraded all three screens to the same HDMI IPS 4k monitors. Since I was at it, I boosted their size to 32''. This works in conjunction with a 65 4k TV where I can really visualize the prints I am about to make.

Cost? Lets than $1,000.00 (+taxes) for the three LG UltraFine 32-Inch.

Only one issue that does not really bother me, the right monitor forces me to turn my head a bit more since I usually work the right and center monitor, the right one is basically keeping me updated as to what runs on my PC and a couple of other utilities.

Image created using a film noise overlay.

Noise sample source...

Notice the existing digital noise due to a heavy crop.

After adding a digitized film noise, blend mode: Overlay, fill adjustment, not opacity

That looks terrible and not at all like film grain.

That is why I am calling it 'random noise'. But never mind your reading skills...
You do not have any.

If you want lookalike film noise, I am sure there are websites dedicated to that and offer pictures as illustration.

The question is, if you use that as a layer, will it look like film noise or digital noise?

I didn't think showing the color version of a picture was allowed here. I really don't care one way or another but some time ago, both the B&W version and the original color version and was chastised for attempting to do so to the extent that it was rejected.

I reported the issue to the section admin. Let's see what he does.

To all: Since the comments are all about the tint (I kind of expected that) the correction is easy since on top of the B&W process there is a hue saturation layer.

Now, the input I need is more about the B&W post-processing effectiveness. Too much contrast? Not enough? Area that need dodging and burning?

As of today, it still works like a charm (as well as a Nikon battery).
