I agree. I much prefer the previous format.
You can also send an insured package of equipment to the Post Office General delivery of the city you are landing in. They will hold it for pickup within 30 days, I believe. Good to check the post office rules on this. I did it for an extensive backpacking trip when I couldn't fly with everything we needed.
In a college level photo imaging class I attended the instructor also warned about wearing bright colored clothing when processing photos at the computer as it can impact the way you see colors on the screen. Keep your shirts and tops muted, she said. Not sure how accurate this advice is but I gave away all my neon shirts.
I guess every state has a particular pest or weather events that just has to endured. Michigan is a wonderful state all in all and I am glad to be here. I will the vitamin B a try..
Well, at least the birds and bats and dragonflies are happy and it will be over in a month or so.
I propose changing the name "golden hour" to "mosquito hour". In the area of Michigan where I live we have been lucky for the last two years with very few of the nasty flying mini bombers. This year just getting from the car to house requires a tactical plan.
Yes, the bags are working well but they lack the charm of old buckets. it is a lot of work but it's a fun group activity and more about the time together than about the product. If we manage to each get a quart we will be lucky.
I have been helping my friends in their first time endeavor at making maple syrup. We are in the collection process here in Michigan and will cooking it down all weekend and beyond, we hope. Some of our trees require a long slog by foot to get to them everyday. Good exercise but exhausting for us ladies over 60.
I love my T3i and have absolutely no complaints about it. It has done everything I have asked of it and more. Although it is an entry level model it can help you create excellent photos.
I saw it over the holidays and really enjoyed it. I tend to prefer films based on true stories and this one was compelling all the way through. Great acting, too.
Yes, individual learning style is an important consideration. For me the advanced classes at my community college were just what I needed. They required shooting assignments to be completed, student work to be critiqued, and exams for nailing down basic concepts.. I do better with structure such as traditional classes offer. I competed with young people majoring in the photographic arts and although I was old enough to be their grandmother I did just as good of work as they did and better than some, at least in my opinion.
I live down state but my my best memories over a lifetime are from the U.P. Your photos are making me feel nosto this morning..
I use a T3i and it has been a terrific camera for me, This camera does everything I need it to do and more. I have followed the advice of many on this forum who say invest in good glass over a fancier camera. I want to move to a full frame but honestly there is no compelling reason to do so. I would love it even more if I had only paid $200!
Thanks everyone! You have sufficiently removed the fear of software becoming obsolete too soon to justify the purchase. I'm going to give it a try.
If I buy and install NIK software will it still be viable after LR updates?
