Thanks for all the reply information... going to meet this person at noon...like new condition...for $900.00..Gonna try it out first...but he is meeting us at a public location near his home....he has other Canon gear... but this is the one lens I've been wanting for more than a year...looking at some videos on YouTube... and they all concur with your suggestions.thanks very much.!!!!It's nice having other people who have been there....

Looking now to upgrade my lens selection.... can't decide on the IS 70-200 f4 Canon lens orthe Non-IS...primary use is wedding's ...senior picts.... children portraits ect... anyone have any comments or expierience with either ??? thanks

Thanks everyone, This makes the decision a lot easier. I've done numerous weddings and senior portraits without an "l" lens. But I do feel the need to move up to the better glass.Now I won't feel so bad about pushing the confirm icon on the screen.

Would like to purchase the 70-200 L f2.8 BUT, the price seems a bit high for me at this time.... Does anyone have the f4 L 70-200 or both ??? and did you notice THAT big of a difference for $600.00 more ?? I am almost ready to just buy the f4 , but just couldn't press the purchase button... lol

I agree, a couple of years ago our son married a wonderful person, and wanted me to do the pictures. I asked a friend of my wife to help out as a second, she jumped at the chance. She had so much fun, she expanded her buisness to doing a LOT of weddings. AND, she does very well. It was a relief for me, and an opportunity for her, and the kids saved a bunch of money !!

I've got a few off of Amazon for around $40.00 which seems to work fine, but the better ones I've had, my sister tye-dyed some old white flat sheets in different colors ( dark gray, Blueish... and seems to work fine for head and upper torso shots. Try it, nothing but a few dollars.You might like it and if you have kids, throw in a few white t-shirts for fun.

I have a chance to get cs3 from a friend who doesn't need it anymore....is there that big of a difference between the two that should keep me from getting cs3 ??....... BTW..cs3 is a no charge from my friend.

LenA is correct...Rt. 41 is a great place to be able to take your time and see gators in the wild...was there this time last year and stopped at several road side parks. There were canals and streams with no less than 15-20 gators, gar fish and other species. I was able to photograph gators that were 8-10 feet away....so word of advice...have a lookout and make sure you have dry ground under your feet, and DO NOT wear flip-flops not good traction and hurts the gators digestion.lol

Love the pics....had a friend from Haiti who passed away approx 10 years ago from Hep.C....always wanted to go there and find his 3 children and help them move to the U.S.. Sadly they've moved and I no longer have contact w/ the family.Keep the faith
