Just an FYI, Upon Downloading and clicking to enlarge, there are White little artifacts that appear to be similar to tiny clouds in the background, I personally don't think they are , and the image seems a bit grainy. May have something to do with the pixel formattting from the size of the file.. One would think that a high pixel count image would be lesst grain when enlarged.
Hope this helps, I did enjoy the image.
The Sun has just gone down and it is behind me. The images that do not have the Moon in them was shot at 2 seconds @ F 3.5. The image that had the Moon was underexposed at 1 Sec.. Then working on the Moon Image in post process, to get it blended to fit the others exposurewise, Then they were all put thru Photoshop and joined as a pano. ISO was kept low and a parallax bar was used to maintain proper perspective across the pan. It also helped to have a very clear cool evening, And a solid tripod that had a bubble level to maintain position from extreme left to extreme right.
The Sun had set behind me, but with a slightly longer exposure, 2 seconds for the photos that the moon wasn't in and about 1 sec. for the photo that had the Moon in it. aperture was F3.5 Then post process to blend them all together. And it helped to have a very cool clear evening. Hope this helps.
The reservoir is called "El Capitan Reservoir"
Trying to get a decent shot of a particular car when they are packed like sardines can be a real challenge, you seem to have adapted to the situation . I applaud your efforts
Nice set Mike, love the clouds on the first one. Keep smashing that shutter release.
I took this pano from my friends backyard East of San Diego CA. on Feb 20th, several years ago. Little did I know it the same day that Ansel Adams was born , Hit download to view.
Several years ago, A small 3 man outing to the Southern Desert near Imperial Co was made. I was attempting to find a good location and vista to show the vast "desert" landscape. But in turn I feel it also shows a rare beauty given the million years of wind and water at work on this part of the US. Post processed in Nik software "Silver EFX"
Looking East at Fonts Points, Borrego, CA, near sundown.
