I have the Samsung Note Pro 12.2 and I love it. It is the perfect companion to my Samsung smart TV for screen mirroring. Coupled with the bluetooth Logitech keyboard case and Samsung mouse it functions perfectly as my computer away from home. The included s-pen is such a remarkable accessory and makes editing, drawing and note-taking a pleasure. The Photoshop mobile app is quite lacking but Lightroom mobile has become quite a robust photo editing app with the last few updates. There are countless other editing and drawing apps available which I haven't experimented much with but I will note Sketchbook and Artrage ($5) which are great for drawing. The Note Pro is fast, the screen is beautiful and a $6 dollar OTG USB 3.0 cable from amazon allows me to plug in thumb drives, portable hard drives and card readers to transfer photos from my camera card or to attach my camera, which is also recognized. Having accessories attached to my tablet while stationary isn't as daunting as mentioned and the truth is that my laptop at home or any other computer I've ever used has accessories attached. The accessories are only attached for the time it takes me to transfer files, otherwise I'm working off of the installed 128 gig micro-sd card.

Having said all of that and loving my tablet immensely I would highly recommend one of the Surface Pro (Pro 3 or 4 with at least an i5 processor) tablets for your needs and for any serious computer work. It's a computer and you just can't beat an actual computer with actual programs. I love my tablet but if I didn't already have my fully loaded Asus ROG laptop to turn to for serious stuff I would have gotten the Surface Pro.

Newbie here... Isn't hitting the back button AF the same as using AE/AF button for AE/AF lock?

Edit:

I meant to quote photon56:
"I used it for awhile and liked it. I've since gone back to using the AE/AF button for AE/AF lock to help me frame my photos better."
