Hello ,

I did a google search and the issue is a known problem with the Nikon D7200.
They have an adjustment you can make to the setting on your camera .
Here is the web site I found the information https://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/nikon-d7200/nikon-d7200A5.HTM

it seems like it is an easy enough setting change. The camera needs a positive exposure compensation and the article explains it in easy terms.

Hope this answers your question to your dilemma .

I had similar "haze" in a few of my photos .. I traced mine to I touched the sensor some house and it was a light finger print that moisture seemed to react to it from time to time.
Also make sure your lens glass is cleaned on Both Ends.
You can buy a sensor cleaner kit and it will do wonders.
I suggest you search YouTube. With your camera MFG on how to clean your sensor, so you do it correctly.
But it was really easy and fast .

Hello
I like the photo and think it is pretty good.
When I looked at it in photoshop, you used F 5.6. I think I would have used F8.
You have to take into account that the feeder tube is round and may be mm closer to you than the bird.

Also not sure what type focus you used also. Most people used center, small or wide maybe ?
I would have used spot focus and put it on the bird .

I did put the photo into a program called Topaz DeNoise AI and was able to pull some more clarity out of the photo. Just for your FYI .

happy shooting .

Hello
Your photo is very good actuality. It just needed some minor tweaking with photoshop.
What I would have done to shoot this photo. I think maybe F8 to F12 and I think that the 1/1600 was not bad I might have tried maybe 1/ 1200 . Not sure what camera you have. But I would have done the Pan with the jet as you say you did and but I would have used a burst shot 10 fps. Here is the photo that I opened in Photoshop using the raw filter and made some basic adjustments and then use the details section to clean up the noise . I also included a crop version as I think the jet is the focus of the photo . I always think that people have their own concept of a good photo or not .. Good does not mean great .. But Good is good. Still better than a bad photo. I think you did very good on this shot .. If you have photoshop you can change the sky also to add better over all look to the photos you shoot . I did not change the photo other than to make some minor adjustments for you to see its not a bad photo . Good luck in the future shoots .

I liked the photo. It looks Pre processed. Was it.
I used the newest photoshop program and opened the photo in Camera raw filter and made some adjustments ..
Was able to bring out some more details I think.

In Photoshop you can make this work better to fix this type distortion .

Open the distorted image as usual in Photoshop. Then, under the Filter menu, choose the Lens Correction option. The Lens Correction window then opens up with the Auto Correction tab active. This is the place where you might go to correct other distortions caused by lenses—say, the chromatic aberration or vignetting of a lesser quality wide-angle lens. You can also create lens-specific profiles based on your own lenses. But we’re interested in the second tab, for custom corrections.

In the Custom tab you can manually fix many of the things that can automatically be controlled in the Auto Correction tab—problems like color fringe, barrel distortion, vignetting and more. But if you scroll toward the bottom of the window you’ll see the set of sliders that were made for architectural photography: under the Transform heading, they are the Vertical Perspective and Horizontal Perspective controls.

To correct for keystoning distortion, simply click and drag the Vertical Perspective slider to the left, into the negative values. Keep an eye on the preview window to the left, and simply stop once the lines are again parallel.

In my initial post a few minutes ago, I apparently was unsuccessful in attaching the photo. of the flower I wanted help in identifying. I am 82 years old, very forgetful and challenged by the digital world. Hope the photo gets attached to the post this time. If not, maybe someone can advise me on how to do that.

I did not know that you could edit a JPEG image using a spot removal tool. Did you use Lightroom or Photoshop ??

Thank you for your reply ..
Just for the record I was not looking to copy your work, nor steal the process ..
I was looking for guidance and a starting point to learn to better my Technics of my photography and photo manipulation .

My mother always said if you want to learn to do things right ask the person whom you think is the master of what it is you want to learn.
If people followed your advice, we would never have art nor music.. be cause the masters would never have passed down the secrets and knowledge of the craft and when they died, so would the craft ..

Again Thank you for your time .. and I still admire your photo art work that you shared .. Hope you live a long life so it continues ... smile
Be well .

Thanks for stopping by MyPharo! Many people have asked me," How do you process your photos?"
Here is my canned reply; I use PSE 12, Topaz and Nic Color Pro4 processing programs. I use many different and various filters from each program, depending on the effect I'm trying to achieve.
Because each photo is unique, it would be hard to explain my methods in general and too varied to explain in detail.
Therefore, my best suggestion would be to dive in, as I have, and work your way through the Trial and Success process. It's the best way to learn!
More importantly, find your own style and don't worry about what others are doing.
In short, learn to write your own Music.
I wish I could be of more help but, it's not a simple process. Know that I'm flattered and humbled by your interest!
It's always nice to see a new visitor!

I have to say if you think that this is a good photo as far a color balance and tone it is time for you to get a new monitor or time for you to invest in a monitor tune up kit.
The color is way to orange. I seen your other 2 photos and both were very complimentary and respectful to the subject. So I can only conclude that you intentionally made this photo look the way it does.
Maybe you should try doing this one over as it is not the same quality nor is it respectful of the subject .. Just my opinion ..
