No, it isn’t only Bezos. It’s a violence of capitalism to keep lower classes at subsistence level or slightly lower.

If they starve, they’re no use, but don’t let them get fat.

I’m a great supporter of capitalism, but we’re not finished with it yet.

However, under the Republicans, we’re going in the wrong direction, headed to a two tier society, the super wealthy and the rest of us, with perhaps a few educated ones in the middle.

It ain’t much to be proud of.

The one percenters already own all the riches of the land and I don't think Republicans are the only greedy ones!

Those are very nice pictures of a really lovely animal. My understanding is that tarantulas from the U.S. are pretty much harmless to human beings. Some tropical species may not be so harmless. Of course, all spiders bite, and are venomous to some extent. When Mark Twain was a gold miner in Nevada, most of his fellow miners kept them as pets in jars. Perhaps this is because, except for one very old lady who ran the house they all lived in, there were no women for companionship. Tarantulas beat nothing---I guess.

Could be they were in the same jar as the gold ! ....would make sense too.
This particular Tarantula looks rather scrawny to me, but I live in southern Arizona, so maybe ours have more food?? ...(Tacos from Mexico?? lol)

Most of these beautiful old fences I loved are a thing of the past.

Thanks for posting that zig zag fence Luen, I had never seen one like that before, but now I realize
it is quite an interesting geometry since you don't need any posts to keep it standing !

Remote cable release and a tripod.
Set the camera to manual exposure: bulb and 1/2 open aperture. Point the camera where the flashes are happening at that time. Focus on the clouds. Press and hold the release for about 30 second or until you capture or almost capture a strike. Release trigger after strike has concluded as you may capture multiple hits, reframe and try again. Occasionally "chimp" the monitor to check focus and exposure. Move around as the storm progresses. Adjust f-stop as ambient lighting gets darker. Experiment with ISO for the best results.

D70s and 18-35 af-d.

And o'yeah - Shoot in Raw.

This is an impressive shot BlackRipleyDog !

They "liberal f*****t democrats" (as you say... lol) have many words
to describe wh**ever it is they are trying to sell you ....at the time!
Recently these i******s became "Migrants" ......as if they were temporary
migrant workers.
This "children" thing they have going now is just so pathetic....and is getting old by now(so to speak).
The Democrats taking all the people for morons for too long have just learned their lesson ......there is
no such thing as getting "used to" stupidity as they have been doing for way too long now !(as you point out drainbamage)

Which version do you like best?
These are best viewed in download mode.

Hi Brent, I prefer the full color myself, unfortunately you seem to have used an extreme
wide angle lens that deformed and flattened the girl on the right's head, I hope her Fiancé still
Marries her after seeing this picture though.....

This image is one from our recent wildlife photo safari to the Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Amboseli NP. The male lion had been dining on a warthog and handed it off to his lioness...six hyenas moved in and harassed her and managed to steal what was left....such is 'life in the wild'.

The worst part being that it was probably the lioness who made the kill in the first place !?

The depth of field is very short when shooting at 300mm from a very short distance. I do believe that what you are seeing are out of focus edges on the most distant petals.
