Thanks. That is great that you were able to attract Karner Blues.

Wild Rose? I never knew there was town named Wild Rose.

Mike

Wild Rose is a small town in central Wisconsin that is between the larger cities of Wautoma and Waupaca. Just east of us is the Karner Blue State Natural Area which is loaded with lupines and Karner Blue butterflies are seen regularly even though they are endangered. Worth a stop if in the area. Be aware that ticks are also there in significant numbers.

Beautiful photo of the wild lupine. I started some in my yard three years ago. They are thriving and have attracted some Karner Blue butterflies.

Peonies?

Peonies are pretty flowering plants. Lots of pictures on Ugly Hedgehog that can be easily found using the search feature.

Can't say for sure, but it looks very much like our peonies when they start coming up in spring.

Thank you. PIA is short for pain in the a... and yes they own us. This is our second JR. They are quite different. This one follows Terry everywhere and misses nothing she might be up to. Our first was more independent but definitely mine. He went everywhere with me for 15 years. They are hard to beat for sure. Here she is in color.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, the answer hit me a while ago. It was so obvious I just didn't see it. Our Benny gets accused of being that quite often. We also chuckled in an understanding way when you stated her nickname is the Pestilence. Funny.
