Thanks everybody for your kind remarks, Aus is like the US a big country, and so many people try and see way to much in a very short time, So if any of you are thinking of a trip down under, send me a PM and I will try and help re places to visit ,in the time that you have available.
Regards Colin,

Good shots of a magnificent bird, however they are called wedge tailed eagles, and in Aus known as Wedgies, seen plenty if them on our trips around Aus

Love them all Sylvie, and may I ask you your opinion, Now I have almost the same camera as you 600d with the kit lenses plus a 70x300, I love the 18x55, but get frustrated changing lenses, now, what do you think of the Tamron 18x400, as I feel that it would cover my needs, I come from Liverpool, but now live in New Zealand, been in NZ for around 22yrs, plus 28yrs in Aus, Regards Colin,

Beaut shots Jim of a part of Lancashire I used to call home before coming out to New Zealand, but the photo that made me dead jealous was going into the Pub for a Pie and a Pint, Oh how I would like to do that again, Used to live in Prescot and worked at PBs in St Helens ,Thanks for Posting Colin

As a avid Dog lover, i think there is nothing better than to see dogs playing with one another, we have a Greyhound x Gt Dane, he is around 42kg , and when he gets to play, just keep out of the way, otherwise you will get bowled over, yes he does the same as yours ,comes home has a drink then, sleeps, his breeding gives him speed, and strength, just wish I had some of it, Thanks for posting loved all of your shots

Thanks John R for the photos, as I used to live very near to Bribie, in Caboolture, I have been there many times, and your photos brought back happy memories, I hope you have been into the Glasshouse Mountains and to the Lookout, very very good up, and it you are fit enough try a walk up to the summit of Mt Tibrogagen, Think that might be spelt wrong, , also a days trip up and around Melaney is well worth it, enjoy Aus, and keep away from the covid cities, and above all keep well, Oh I am in New Zealand almost covid free,

I think your Cormorant is what Australians call a Darter, and here in FL is an Anhinga. A Cormorant has a slightly hooked beak. I especially liked the wallaby pic.

Hi Joe 71, I used to live very near Bribe, and sorry to tell you that the Cormorant and the Darter are two different birds, the big noticeable difference is when the Darter is on water, there body is completely immersed below the water, and hence they are often called a Snake bird,

Hi Sylvia from Pahiatua in New Zealand, Well. what a nice surprise to see Hawkshead on the Hog, I used to live in Liverpool and as a cyclist road with Prescot road club, have ridden though Hawkshead many time, only then you could even drive through the village, mind you that was around 60yrs ago, the last time I was there was around 22yrs ago, and found that there was now a by-pass around town, My wife and I went on the ferry you show in your photos, Talk about going down memory lane, Magic, Many thanks for helping this old guy in reviving such happy memories, just love your photos, taken with a similar camera to mine, 600D and the same lens, Colin,

Top photos and good info, I see you said that you intend to come to New Zealand and do a three week drive tour. I am sure you will like that but , try and take longer than three weeks , I live in NZ and even though it is a small country you will be realy pushing it to see it in just 21days, try for 2weeks on both the North and South Islands, I live in a small town called Pahiatua. which is around 40k from Palmerston North, or about 170k north of Wellington, have also lived in Dunedin and Auckland, so know the country reasonably well, If you need any info on NZ get in touch and i will help if possible,.Colin

To all those who have replied to my Q about Photostick thank you, even those who have made snide remarks, and to the person who said I was stupid to Format, read my post, as this was done on instructions from Photostick,
It look like i will just have to lump it, and put it down to a unfortunate experiance,

Have a good day from New Zealand,, Colin,
