Really great, thanks for posting it. It has a lot of the atmosphere of Jazz goes to College, which I feel is one of Brubeck’s best albums. The cover photograph for the Jazz: Red Hot & Cool album was taken by Richard Avedon. See the Wikipedia entry on this record and scroll down to Cover Art.

Thanks for the cc. I think I do like this better. It makes the dog more apparent. What do you think? There is no more at the top though. Original wasn't cropped at all.

Sorry I’ve not got back to you before.
I do think however now it is too tight a crop, and feel it would be better if cropped as near as possible to the persons on the right and left of the image, without actually showing them.
Great pity there’s not a little more room at the top.

I think that cropping out the figures on either side would result in a better image. Is there any more at the top?

Likely the option in 'Preferences' needs resetting to 'legacy'. May have been caused by not copying over user preferences when loading the latest version.

No. It’s just Save a Copy, instead of Save As

Sorry for your loss. I will definitely pass your story onto my children who have a dog in the family.

Thank you. The main reason for the post, being, to hopefully prevent dogs and their owners going through such a traumatic and sad experience.

We have had Collies for about 40 years. Always having had puppies, all of which lived for at least a decade.

However we lost our beloved Border Collie, Miskin, (aged 12) in May last year, and In December we visited a rescue centre and adopted a beautiful 3 year old Border collie. She had ended up in the centre after her young owner had sadly died. Quite shy at first, she soon settled in and became a favourite with everyone. At the beginning of May whilst out for a walk she picked up a stick and brought it back to my wife, who threw it for her, something neither I nor my wife would very rarely do, as normally we would have a ball to throw. She chased and caught the stick but part of it broke and lodged in her throat. We rushed her to our local vets, who kept her over night. The following day they suggested we should take her to a specialist animal hospital in Bristol (70 miles from us), they operated on her but tragically she died two days later. We were absolutely devastated. The sadness suffered at the loss of all our dogs has been dreadful but because she was so young, we only had her for 4 months and the terrible way it happened has been unbearable.

The animal hospital vets told us this is a common occurrence and a lot of dogs don’t survive. I know there are a lot of dog owners on this site so I write this hopefully to discourage anyone else from throwing a stick for their dog and going through the sadness we have suffered, and are still suffering.

With regard the color of the walls/ceiling, paint them white, except around the area of the enlarger which should be painted matt black. This will give the best light possible in which to work. However make sure that your safelights have no light leaks.

I would try to update the drivers from the card manufacturer. Next option is check the manufacture of the motherboard and see if they make video cards. I feel comfortable saying that you could stay in the $150 to $300 range. Might be silly but I like to use the same companies parts.
I have a Gigabyte Motherboard with AMD Radeon R7 200 Series graphic card 2 gig. They're both about 7-8 years old and have no trouble.
Also try using a malware program & virus program and manually run them. Once a week I use CCleaner & Glary tools (free Ver.) to clean Junk file & registry files. Then manually run Malware Bytes & Avast anti-virus (free Ver).

Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply.
The drivers have the latest update, and using am using the same AMD Radeon R7 200 series graphic card as you, but I think it is just only just over 1 gig. (Am I right? I got this figure from the GPU proporties panel where it states, Dedicated video memory is 1024 MB).

Every time I open the latest version of Photoshop CC I get a message telling me my “Graphics Processor is incompatible”, and the “Driver is out of date” with “Insufficient VRAM: (1052 MB of 1500MB required)”. I can still use Photoshop but it has a tendency to crash when certain tools are used.
Looking on line I’m surprised at the vast difference in the price of GPU’s ranging from about £80 (around $100) to over £1000 (around $1300), I’m afraid my budget will be at the lower end of this scale. I would appreciate your thoughts and recommendations on this and would love to hear experiences from anyone who has recently purchased a GPU for use with the latest Photoshop.
Thank you.
