Your uncouth generalizations are very offensive to many. When we should be trying to work our way back to some level of civil discourse, you are not helping in any way. Do you have any thoughtful suggestions about how we can create respectful communications between our divided nation instead of splitting us more?

With the type of 7th grade back and forth I read here, no wonder we aren’t united, but clearly divided. Does anyone ever stop and listen to each other and work toward a solution that benefits all. In our demonizing each other, we loose site of the benefits available in “Working Together”. Our system would sure work better if we would stop calling each other nasty names and develop working relationships while recognizing the value of differing opinions.

Why don’t you find somewhere to post this kind of bias, I was under the misunderstanding this was a photo oriented site.

How easy to criticize, now in your spare time how about coming up with some creative solutions. I haven’t heard anything from either side that would seem to be effective.

Seems like good thinking from someone that thinks keeping you, your loved ones and others you come in contact with safe, is a bad idea. Glad I’m not around your area, I like feeing good and knowing I might be helping someone else be safe.

I always find it interesting how easy it is to "throw somebody under the bus" until you have to get them out. Wouldn't it be more helpful to address the real problem and try to develop some constructive solutions. Criticism becomes very difficult when those that criticize are charged to seek solutions to solve the problems. A long time ago I learned that you should use statistics like a drunk used a lamppost, for support and not illumination. Let's really start working together, that's the only way things can really improve. Peace

Without some proof of the rigging and stealing, i've been trying to be as informed as I can be. Reading both sides of the equation every day and realizing I have to strike my own middle line with very little help from the media. My suggestion is for the media to be required to separate news and facts from opinion. Maybe the 1st paragraph of each article should be restricted to the news, the everything else could be the opinion of the writer. The saddest part of all of this is the separation it has created in our country, It seems like each of us sets our feet on one side of the line and when that is done, we pee on each other's shoes. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we realized that problem targets are better reached when we walk hand in hand and listen to each other rather than degrade anybody the disagrees with us. Have a blessed and Happy New Year.

I like the contrast of shapes and leading lines. I might crop the bottom just a little to bring the opposing shore a little below middle.

after reading this thread, it isn't difficult to see why we are in the position we're in. Insulting, degrading comments about somebody else's thoughts. We have fallen into a hole so deep, i'm not sure we can ever get out. An old line says, "When you are in a hole, quit digging". Wouldn't it be wonderful if the two sides shown in this thread had the courage and patience to come together, listen and work toward a common understanding and agreement to move forward together. Help me think of a time in history when this type of rhetoric solved anything. Please work to bring sides together with respect for one another so we can achieve the wonderful opportunities this country offers.

I'm not a historian, but I learned a long time ago, standing on two sides of a line, peeing on each other's shoes doesn't solve any problem. I've had the misconception that our strength was based on a common respect for different ideas and a willingness to work together for a "common goal". I find it very hard to believe that idea still resides in our political environment. I pray for a time when we can come together, listen to each other's point of view and resolve our differences through compromise. I will be very embarrassed to leave todays environment for my grandkids.

It isn't hard to see why we have trouble having meaningful discussions about really solving the problem. We seem to have established the we-they thing to the fullest. let's sit down and realize we would be better off if both sides could look and the problem and work their way together to a solution. These aren't easy questions or solutions, but with the strength of both "sides", a solution could be worked out.
