Thankyou to everyone for taking the time to respond. After reconsidering and for the sake of convenience, scanning is likely the better option. 🙏🏼

Proper lighting with no glare / reflections is very difficult to achieve. Have you considered a dedicated scanner instead?

I have a decent epson scanner (about 5 yrs old) I assumed it would be inferior to the eos R

I’m looking to digitize a substantial amount of antique/relic photographs with maximum resolution. I’m thinking using my EOS R & Lightroom (for fixes) would be the best solution. Any advice or articles on setup/methodology would be helpful TIA

Thankyou I’ll try that…it just occurred to me, I had the anti flicker option turned off in settings. I wonder if that had a part to play.

I’m attempting to digitize some old slides by photographing them with a Canon R and using an iPad as a light table. When I zoom in I’m getting this weird grid pattern on the photo. Can someone please help me understand what’s going on here or is this just a dumb hack on my part. Tia

I have a T3i and am looking to upgrade to an R6 while continuing to use the T3i. Can I use the same lenses without sacrificing too much image quality? TIA

Lenses are:
Canon 18-55 3.5-5.6
Canon 55-250 4-5.6
Sigma 18-250 3.5-6.3
Sigma 150-500 5-6.3

Could I please have some suggestions for the best lowlight Canon under $3000. I have a T3i with a selection of lenses so something that would accept my lenses would be ideal but not imperative. TIA

And your evidence to support this statement....???

In every example of information that I can see, the source is always a certain level of intelligence. I see no evidence to the contrary. If you are aware of any please feel free to make it known, otherwise this should be evidence enough for anyone. However, something tells me that you disagree.

Ding ding ding…our first denier.

You cannot have information without first having an intelligent source.

It's not yet proven or even evidenced, that there is a wall.

True, but we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that ultimately over all and apart from us there is an intelligence. We know that because we are made up and function through information ie:DNA and information can only come about through intelligence.

Many don't want to admit it but you cannot have information without first having an intelligent source.

I think I agree, but I'm not 100% sure about what you're saying. If you're saying that none of this explains how human intelligence came about, then yes I agree. The trouble is, human intelligence, isn't tangible. It doesn't leave any fossil record that can be studied. We can trace it back through writings, cave paintings and even flint tools. But before that, we tend to hit a wall.

So then, at the very least there must be intelligence on the other side of the wall. Yes?

Say what you will, the source of information has always been, is still and will always be intelligence.
