SpiderOak ONE
https://crossclave.com/one/I have used this for decades, without any loss of data. You can sync files to multiple computers, even if they use different operating systems.
Taken in Nanaimo, BC. I don't know if the gull ever succeeded in eating his catch.
I have used SpiderOakONE for many years. I won't say that I've never had a problem, but I've never had a problem that resulted in loss of data. SpiderOak support is great. SpiderOakONE lets you back up and sync with as many computers as you have, even if they use different operating systems.

Nice photo. But that's a floating home, not a houseboat. A houseboat has an engine and can move under its own power. There are many floating homes here in the Portland area on the Willamette and Columbia Rivers, but far fewer houseboats.
I have used SpiderOak for many years. I have had a few problems, but none resulted in loss of data. SpiderOak support has been great.
So what if they go 'belly up'. As long as you are syncing to other computers, you still have your data. Just sign up with some other cloud service.
I have used Spideroak One for many years. I can't say that I've never had a problem, but no problem has caused loss of data. With Spideroak you can sync your files among as many different computers as you want, even if they have different operating systems. You can also set up a 'share', whereby another person can download your files using a link that you give him, even if he not a Spideroak user.

Don't do it that way. Use the 'AF/AE Lock' button. Graham's video mentions this briefly at the beginning. Then, he goes on to explain the more complicated manual focus method. Maybe that is somehow better, but the AF/AE button works for me. You can program that button for AF or AE only, if you prefer. You must remember that the button is a toggle. That is, you push it once to focus. Then either take your photo or push it a second time to disable the focusing. Or, you can hold it down to get continuous focusing.

It's been a long time since I used the FZ200, but I'm pretty sure it has no way to do BBF.
Do an Internet search on "FZ200 back button focusing". You'll see lots of videos and articles on how to do this.
I have used SpiderOakONE for many years for backup and syncing among my 5 computers. It works great. I have rarely had problems. The few times when I did have trouble, support was good and there was never any loss of data. You can sync among computers, even if they use different operating systems.
I'm a long time Linux user. I use Debian, but I agree with the suggestions to use Mint. Linux Mint is a Debian derivative and a great choice for a new user.
billnikon raises a good point about fill flash. I don't know about the FZ-1000, but my FZ-200 will not do fill flash in iA mode. Also, iA mode does not allow you to select between the three metering modes. (I want spot metering most of the time.) For these reasons, I usually use P mode.
