And it’s official! 14 years in the making! (I still haven’t grasped the selfie technique)

And the photo team below

Wedding day was a bit windy, rain died down around 1030, wedding at noon.

Everything went very good!

Just wanted to update y’all

All

I am sorry that my point was missed.

My point is “if” someone were to be at Martha’s Vineyard on April 30th and “if” they wanted to get some practice time (maybe they are new to this) in “or” try some new techniques.

I was not asking or expecting anyone to foot the cost of travel, lodging, or food.

I have hired and paid photographers for several of my daughters weddings and for my previous wedding. I have shot a few weddings myself and have great respect for wedding photogs and the hell they have to deal with.

This is purely a laid back occasion, no shot list, no expectations.

If I offended folks that was not my intention.

Thanks again for the congrats you are an amazing group.

Thanks for the replies, congrats and good lucks!!!

It was an idea, nothing critical.

Anyway should be a good time so long as Mother Nature cooperates for about an hour.

I will circle back and post photos.

Good Day All

I read daily but rarely post.

Long story short after 14-years together Elisa and I are getting married. Small ceremony, was suppose to be her and I, now a few select family and friends will be joining.

To my point, if you are aspiring to learn or know your stuff and will be on Martha’s Vineyard on April 30th and would like to get some practice time in with your new camera or try a few new techniques and share your results with us that would be great. You would be welcome to join us for a mini reception after.

Not looking to hire for pay, looking for a possible win win situation. If there is no interest I can understand that as well. I am sure we will end up with photos from those attending.

If interested please message me.

Comments below are welcome too

Yes, I have similar questions. I have seen a lot of promising technology go down the drain when it came to up scaling to full production. Maybe this will work given time and resources. Sometimes I think that the worst thing that was ever invented was plastic. The world is choking on it. There is a huge dead spot in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that is a mass of floating plastic discards.

Unfortunately someone (business) with $$$$$$$$$$$ that stands to lose $$$$$$$$$$$ will go to any length to make any trace of it disappear.

Yesterday when I "liked" Xan had 135k Likes, he now has 154k.

You have to love this kids outlook, especially considering what he is having to endure.

To The UHH Family:

I received this from my corporate office yesterday, and felt I needed to pass it along here.

Alexander Moses, known to his brothers as Xan, is a 6-year old boy living at the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh, PA, with a rare neurodegenerative disease. Despite the numerous surgeries, scans and genetic testing, doctors cannot determine why his brain is deteriorating.

Xan has a goal to get 1 million Facebook likes on his page. He says the online support and well wishes help to make the pain more bearable. Click the link on Facebook to Become a Xan Fan. http://www.facebook.com/Xansfans?fref=ts

I know between all of us here we can move Xan closer to his dream.

Hey everyone, sorry for the delayed Thank You's things got a little crazy around here over the last 3 weeks or so.

I think I will give the projector, foam board and video camera a go. Only one problem, somewhere over the years my projector sprouted legs and ran away from home. eBay / Amazon will save me.

Thanks again for all of the input and advice.

I realize this is a stretch, and I did not see anything under search, Google was limited from what I could find.

I have 2 totes full of 8mm movies, I would like to be able to transfer many (not all) over to a digital format. Does anyone have a solution to this aside from shipping them out to a company for processing, or running them on a projector and recording the projection with a digital video camera?
