He(she) is a beauty, Nice Shot! They are the best for rodents, followed by hawks/owls, cats...… Glad you appreciate his efforts, too many folks just see a snake, and kill it. sad. We have a snake called the Florida Water Snake, who unfortunately looks a little bit like a threat (to the uninitiated), and since they swim a lot, people always think they are Water Moccasins. It's a wonder any are left, the Rattlers have already suffered greatly, have not seen one in a few years (and I'm in the country). I have a lot of Black Snakes, Rat Snakes(corn snakes to some), Garter Snakes and Florida Water Snakes... and try to keep them around. They do good work!

Have not yet seen any Pythons or Anacondas this far north of the Everglades, but I hear they are becoming accustomed to the climate and interbreeding with Rock Pythons and moving north. Not looking forward to their appearance in our area. Monitor lizards have also become a concern here. I was happy with just having alligators!!!!

This fellow lived under the corner of my shed for most of the summer, wasn't aggressive but would never back down.
I could find him almost any early morning, out sunning himself.
AND no mice in the shed this year.

Most fishermen won't give up their poles easily, just wondering if this heron ate him ??? :-)

About 10 years, if you work at it.

Hi all! Anybody have any thoughts on the best way to protect camera lenses? I’m traveling to Germany in the fall and getting some new lenses for the trip. One person at the local camera shop said I definitely need UV filters to protect the lenses. Another person said that hoods were the only way to go! Help!

How about being just a little more careful ???

Parboil for 20 minutes before pan frying, then you'll like them

Hey Hogs,
Just curious what everyone does with all there photos. I know I have thousands, I have sold some which I wish I could sell more, but how? Anyway do you just collect them, sell them, enlarge, display, etc. I take photos of mostly wildlife and landscape, you have to find just the right people the buy photos like these.
Would enjoy your feedback.

I do two things,
I am always deleting the older shots, then doing them over, they're always better the second & third time,
AND,
What good is a picture if you can't show it ?
Of the best ones, I've set up a small gallery in my work place (I don't put old magazines on a coffee table for customers to look at) and also added a monitor for a slideshow.
Was surprised that people actually buy some of them. That money goes into my "new camera fund".
Don't plan on getting rich.

I am in the process of retiring from my studio after 30 + years. Will keep shooting for a couple magazines but want to pursue the above as I have not had the time before. I can not hold up a heavy lens due to surgery and want to do mostly hand-held where possible. I would like to hear what lens many of you like best for this type of shooting. I have read many, many reviews but would appreciate your comment. Thanks much....
