USAF 1962-1967 in Photo Recon. E-5 on discharge and went back to college. Worked on RF-101 (Voodoo), RB-66 and B-58 (Hustler). Enjoyed my service. My squadron, 383 A&E Shaw AFB, SC, took the recon pictures of the Cuba buildup.
Respectfully, this is not a cottonmouth or a venomous snake at all - notice the eye is round where a cottonmouth (or any venomous snake) has slit eyes. Great pictures, though.
I will be spending a few days at Pickett State Park on the Tennessee side of The Big South Fork National Recreation Area this summer. Does anyone have any suggestions of places to go see there? Pogue Creek Canyon State Natural Area is nearby and looks interesting as well. Colditz Cove State Natural area is also nearby. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You'll definitely want to visit the Sgt. York birthplace and Mill nearby in Pall Mall, TN. It is quite a beautiful and peaceful place and worthy of photography. Be sure to go inside the mill building.
A beautiful capture, of a lovely woman. I think the age of the slide and the subsequent shift of the colors adds to the image. It's got a vintage, cross-processed look.
I found this while digitizing old slides. It was taken about 1990 using a bedside light and handheld camera, so forgive the quality. There is also some damage to the slide due to age, but I hope you enjoy the picture.
