I'm certainly not the ultimate Guru in photography, but I believe that any of the newer DSLR cameras have all the necessary features for almost any type of photography, from landscape to sport. The difference, in my opinion, is mainly in the lenses and their quality you're using. A set of good lenses will do almost any job!

I keep a 50-130mm on my Canon T6s for "every day" shooting. In my bag I have a wide angle for landscape and real estate photos, plus a portrait lens for pictures that focus on a certain part and leave the surroundings slighty blurres, plus a Canon 430 EX flash, just to be complete. I also carry a few filters with me, although my camera has some built in as well. All in all, I've shot some pretty good photos this way. See: viewbug.com/member/flwolf

They were dredging close to Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs, FL. Only after I took the photo, I realized that there was a guy 'lounging' in his chair, perhaps even sleeping. :)

...even though it's a camcorder! I wanted to get into video taping, but I discovered that this camcorder also does a good job as photo camera. The photos you see have been reduced from over 6000 x 3000 pixels, but the quality is still very good, even though they're free hand (no tripod).

You hardcore photographers probably crinch, but I recently sold my photo camera and bought a Sony camcorder (HDRPJ580V) with 20.4 MP photos) and I don't regret it! Besides the full HD video part, the still photos are absolutely superb! I've attached a few, although reduced in size.

Since the object on my initial photo is too far away to see all the details, I've cropped it down to the actual object.

It's one of these dredging machines off the beach. A man is leisurely sitting in his chair, seemingly dozed off while the machine is doing the heavy work. I named the picture sarcastically "Another day at the Office".

I'm just an amateur with a Canon Powershot SX30 IS, but a few of my photos are quite good, I think... :)

I love to shoot photos, but my equipment is pretty basic. A Canon PowerShot SX30 IS. Being an artist, I'm pretty good at composing a shot. However, I mostly end up setting my camera to "Auto", because I just can't recall all the details for working manually. I hope to get some help from this forum. Attached is one of my favorite shots, "just another day at the office".

A couple of months ago, I discovered that my camera also does video. Imagine my surprise... :) So I gave this new feature a try and was impressed by the picture quality. I've created a music video with one of my own tunes, then another and another... and now I have 50+ videos on YouTube. Look up channel flwolf2000.
