I, like many of you, started taking photographs a very long time ago. That was in the age of film, 35mm was my medium. I carried two cameras, one loaded with B&W and the other in color. I developed my own and made my own prints. I was adept at the printing tricks to produce a good photo.

In the digital age there is no limit to what you can do!

Share some of your works with me.

Taken in Santa Fe, NM straight shot

Transformed through digital effects

GardnerJim, I like this. I think its fun to paint photos and play with the tools you have available. This looks like an art / illustration / bookcover for a novel. I don't find it confusing, I find it mysterious, like, what's inside the gate? If this is your first attempt, I say "keep at it!"

Thank you Carlysue for validating my photo. As you see it has received a lot of negative comments. I mean, come on people, can't you appreciate something different? Is this a point and shoot site?

Excellent photos all of them. lets keep them coming. we owe our freedom to them all.

Thank You for allowing us to do this and Thank You for starting this thread. I have relatives who have served and really appreciate it when someone goes out of the way like this to say Thank You to them and honor them.

This is nothing compared to what the young men and women lying in these National Cemeteries have done.
I'm proud to say that my final resting place will be with my brothers and sisters in Bushel, Florida.

Great idea, wrong approach

Please explane "wrong approach".
If you have a better "approach" please share!

Was it possible to get a shot from the corner. It's a great shot don't take my remark the wrong way

Of course it was possible to take the shot from the corner. It was also possible to take the shot from the back. I don't think I have ever taken a photo that could not have been taken from a different position or angle .I wish people would critique THE photo presented and not ask "what if?". I have been a photo judge for many years and always aske
d how someone's photo could be improved, I never said "what if".
