I too had the same decision and I went with the Canon 5d Mark II and haven't looked back ... it is an awesome machine! The 7d is awesome but lacks the full frame feature! I also bought a Canon 430EX II. Now I just have to learn all the features, tips and tricks for both the camera and speedlite.
Good luck...you won't go wrong with the 5D Mark II.

The new Canon 5D Mark II with a 24-105 1:4 L IS lens arrived on May 10, 2012. Since then I have been shooting in Auto Focus IS mode mostly to get a feel for the camera. Nice!!!! It is the best camera I have ever had. The pictures are outstanding even though I do not know what I am doing yet! (Notice I said Yet). I purchased David Busch's "Canon Eos 5D Mark II" book and am wading through it to see if I can better use the camera. All in All I am very pleased with it so far ... just need to get out and shoot more pictures and practice my photo composition.
Following are a few photos I have taken. Any critic of the pictures would be appreciated ... just be gentle ... I am a "Newbie".
