Now that our "cooler" temps have arrive, low 90's but humid still, we have started up a new season of our monthly Cruise-ins held at our American Legion on the 2nd Saturday of the month. We were pleasantly surprised with a turnout of close to a hundred vehicles! Included here are a few that I personally found interesting.

I think the first picture posted is a 1932 Hi Boy Roadster .

You must be referring to the South Rim, which is wall-to-wall people and temps are above 90. The North Rim is almost 1 mile higher and much cooler. Temps were from the mid-'80s to 52 at night.

We made our reservations the day the website opened for the season. We wanted something at the end of October when it was cooler but could only get it the week before labor day.

All our national parks are incredibly popular right now. To get a room at the Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite, you need to book 1 year in advance. Campsites in the parks are the same.

yes I am refering to the south rim from L/D w/e .it was hot and crowded .The North Rim is cooler and a lot less crowded most of the time.

Keep Grand Canyon NP on your list to visit. It will give you an unforgettable experience. Just my opinion but the South Rim offers the more interesting views.

But it is also more crowded and almost impossable to book a room or camp there.I was there this past w/e on the Grand Canyon r/r trip.Temp was 90 plus and wall to wall people with masks required and some things closed.

Nice! I’m heading there later this month. Any recommendations appreciated.

if you cant get a room inside the park at the north rim; 18 miles o/s the entrance is the Kaibab Lodge witch has cabins at a reasonable rate they have a great restaurant that serves home cooked meals. There is also a campground next to it with camp sites and rv sites for around $20.00 a night and there is a gas station right across the street. My cabin witch slep 2 people in queen beds for $90.00 a night. There are deer ;bison;and other w/l running free all over the place. Other cabins sleep up too 10 people. If you need more infor you can look it up on the internet or pm me and I will send you some pictures.

I wouldn't waste my money. You will lose autofocus, 2 stops of light - not that much of an issue with mirrorless and EVF for composition, anyway - but still an issue as far as image quality, and it may physically interfere with the rear of the lens causing damage to itself and/or the lens.

Teleconverters are intended to be used with very sharp optics, usually prime telephoto lenses or pro-grade zooms (70-200 F2.8, 200-400 F4, 70-400). The 18-270 is not a candidate.

Never got rid of them. (Not all LPs were made into CDs.)

I apologize for continuous posting of the fox. I do not go out much in cold weather anymore. My body does not like it. So my photography is limited by shooting through the glass slider door which faces the small protected woods behind our condo complex. So, the fox has become my photographic preoccupation. Thanks for understanding.

I think this may be the best one.
Thanks for viewing - download is better.

Mark

If I had a subject like that to shoot I wouldnt go outside eaither.Keep on posting pictures of the fox hes beautiful. Nice job.
